  • Normally fuse can be blown because the rated current of the circuit is exceeded. There can be different causes to blow the 6A light circuit fuse.
    1. When Light bulb blows and fails at the end of its life it can draw larger current.
    2. Faulty switch
    3. Faulty light fitting
    4. Faulty Cables.
    5. Faulty fuse ( fatigue)
Once the fuse is replaced it is better to switch all the lights in the circuit one by one and if it blows again at a one particular light then local fault finding can be carried out from the switch to the light fitting .
If the fuse blows straight away while all the light switched are off further testing need to be done such as insulation testing etc to isolate the problem.
