@@noobiie “with what we know today” is the main part. Or even without what we know today, I think it would’ve been just beautiful to live in that time of bell bottoms and long hairs. I guess there would have been no tensions, less depression, no cell phones, no social acceptance phobia. Life would have been simpler. And above all, people would have been purer than they are nowadays.
Im 30 and i am observing that you can’t find any one who is overweight or fat i guess obesity wasn’t an issue back then. Most people were healthy. Good work uncle for recording ❤️
In the late 70s and 80s is when the US FDA came up with the fake research of linking cholesterol from fats such as butter, ghee, animal fat, eggs etc as being unhealthy for the heart and blood pressure... And pushing cereals, refined wheat based products into diets. Also the rise of softdrinks in our country. All downhill from that point.
The non sense was going on at that time even but today we dont habe any idea of it. Just page back to history and you will come to know mukti bani and fall of dhaka
The Pakistan of this era may come back. Although I am 33 years old, the Pakistan of the 70's and 80's affects my heart and mind a lot. Beautiful faces, clothing styles, classic cars, clean roads, beautiful buildings, in short, Pakistan was the emerging country of that era. I wish I could win the Pakistan of this era. Many thanks to your dad who kept this treasure safe.
It feels like a time traveling to the past, like seeing through a wormhole window in the 70s Pakistan. Thank you for sharing. God Bless your family members who recorded this.
Bell bottom, high waisted jeans and pants, oversized belt buckles, large cuffs, collars and wide lapels, unbuttoned casual, slim fit, tucked in shirts with bold patterns such as paisley or floral landscapes, oxford shoes and topped off with shaggy mullets, moustaches and pop rock inspired hairdos neatly combed over the ears. This reminds me of practically everything my dad used to tell me about in his stories from back in the day.. he was born in the 50's, youngest of 8 siblings, joined the army as a doctor and spent his entire life in a joint family setup. His parents and grandparents were among the once wealthy immigrants who left everything behind in Indian Punjab and started afresh here without "filling the claim forms" out of fear of retaliation from the family members who chose to stay back. I used to ask my dad everything about his childhood and family's history and hours would go by in a flash. I enjoyed every second of his stories. Our parents are among the golden generation and they'll live on in our hearts and memories forever.
My grandparents always told me what great stories and fun they had when they were young. This looks more peaceful than what we have nowadays, corruption was less too. Even greenery was everywhere, People actually had fun when they were young, the streets looks clean, very less amount of pollution was in the atmosphere and traffic was a bit less.I want to give your father a huge thanks providing us with this video.May Allah Bless you and your family.

Toyota Mark II, bell bottom pants = 1978 - 1979. I remember those days, though I was about ten years old. Pakistan was king of Hockey. USA & USSR were locked in tge Cold war. There was trouble in Afghanistan & Iran. Arab Sheikhdoms had begun developing. There was a rush of Pakistani labor to Dubai, Kuwait, & KSA. "Dubai Chalo" was a popular movie in cinemas. Javed Miandad, Sarfaraz Nawaz, Zaheer Abbas, Imran Khan, Asif Iqbal, Waseem Hassan Raja, & Mudassar Nazar played cricket for Pakistan. Fifty fifty was the most popular comedy show on PTV. Muhammad Ali had just taken retirement from boxing. It was such a different world, totally unimagineable today.

From the police officer who takes the bribe to the business man paying the bribe so that his son may evade the law. From the riksha walas who break any traffic law in order to save petrol or time not caring that they have started a chain reaction in which hundreds of people will be affected to the parents who let their 14 year old child to drive without a licence. Who ever read this and has come this far, let us make a vow to start making a difference by changing oneself. Starting with these small things 1. Do not litter (Throw trash in the open) 2. Follow the traffic laws, even when you think it might not m 3. Treat people less fortunate than you with respect, be gentle with animals, Don't pay street beggers!! I cannot stress this enough 4. @Killer boyy While I agree that Zia Ul Haq brought his fair share of problems with him. And his rule definitely wasn't legitimate. But his era was still one of the most successful for Pakistan. This is so well recorded Mashallah these were the times when my father was in his 20s, wowww I really wish I can hear more stories from him, other than my nana who passed away 3 years ago, no one really talked about the times when Pakistan was newly made. It's an interesting topic, and sometimes heartwarming too 💖 I wish everyone here a great day and May Allah bless you all
pakistan was always here. pakistani history started during the IVC and before that, too. we just gained independence from britian doesnt mean our land is new, our land is ancient.
This clip is around 46 years old. Pakistan was just 30 years old. A few differences that I noticed. You don't see crowds anywhere, even in public places and tourist sites. Roads are well carpeted and traffic is close to none. The streets, towns, and even bazaars are green; you see trees everywhere. And lastly, at 9:48, which I think is Mall Road, Murree, you see a big board of BOOK GALLERIA. I mean an actual book shop in Murree, how cool would that be? It also saddens me to know what happened next. USSR invaded Afghanistan, Khomeini took over in Iran, Zia brought Islamization drive in the country. And the rest is just history.
No doubt there is no public. Because there were no such popluation that time. About 70m poppluation 50years ago and in recent 50years our poppluation has grown to 220m
Its not islamization tha caused our Nation to default or lack in development, it was the mentality of our leaders and their mission to loot our country. Then so called Moulanas started their bussinesses and brainwashed public and made them extremist then Army which tried to control our nation through peoples patriotism and then competition between PPP, MQM, PMLN and other political parties. Islamization would have actually benefitted pakistan if it was implented in an appropriate way.
