    Eric, You got me laughing with your nymph comment. I don't despise nymph fishing, but I certainly prefer swinging these classic wets. Another great tie. The guard hairs certainly make a great sub for a hackle throat.

      Same here I quess I'll nee r get used to or comfortable with nymphs snagging on the bottom! I like tothem fished like a wet fly and take my chances that the fish miss them. :-)

    I think if I had one wet fly it would be this one. Early in the year this is a great fly. I love the way you set wet fly wings. I also started tying to Ray Bergman’s trout. I picked three or four wets and learned to tie them. The wings take some practice lol. Tight lines.

    Leiseling.s-hare.s ear. The consistence of small wing. It arise my mind images of various swiming-forms. .😌very nice.
