Decades ago in my 20’s I used to work across the street from sunset gower studios at AT&T (then known as Pacific Bell)… I was one of just a handful of business accounts installation/repair techs for the studios, corporate high rises etc., in Hollywood and Sunset area. It was a cool job. This entire drive brings back fond memories of my work, commute, where I lived in Studio City and Burbank. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
When these guys take you on a tour, they really "take you on a tour". There are so many shortcuts to destinations they could have taken to get to (for example) Universal Studios, but they took you past all of the attractions on Hollywood Blvd first, then turned onto Orange. Great job xx

Former guitarist for Barry White, Issac Hayes, Wolfman Jack my dad Emmett North Jr use to live on 7676 Hollywood Blvd apartments. That old Apartment building is where Stephen Spielberg use to live at back in 1976. Hollywood Blvd has a lot to see and do. I use to love walking down there to the Chinese Theater & the Hollywood wax Museum. Great video takes me back to all the places I`ve been when I was a child.
Nice drive, would have been better with a little driving music though!. For those of you in an older generation, roughly between 1:18 and 2:14 used to be RKO Studios (with the big globe on the corner of the building. And then later it became Desilu Studios, formerly own my Lucille Ball & Desi Arnez. Then Paramount bought it after she sold it.

Bare in mind that the front view may not always look interesting while there is plenty to see sideways. You can easily cut these sideviews into the main spur when nothing is going on on the frontview. Basicly you run 2 films, one spur on top of the other, in your editing software, all you need to do is telling which spur is shown. time axe is identical. i remember many years ago i filmed a rundown ride from an arizona mountain site, and i was able to hold both cam and steering wheel without problems, that's how i got all points of interest without even thinking. The cam of course needs a built-in stabilizer to keep the picture free from vibrations or nervous movements. best way is open roof top or convertable.
