My family started the tradition of watching Die Hard while we wrap all the Christmas presents. So for me Die Hard is a Christmas movie...lol.
Die Hard is debatable, but there's no denying Gremlins IS a Christmas Movie.
We watch it on New Years do Hans Gruber drops at midnight.
@@louie-laur He is going to LA to be with his family for christmas. The entire film takes place during a Christmas party, he is literally saving Christmas from the terrorist. If Hans Gruber showed up in The Holiday so Jude Law and Jack Black had to fight a couple of Terrorists before falling in love. It would still be a Christmas movie. :D
@@alexoyvind I heard the debate about Die Hard before I ever watched it. I decided I should finally watch it and I don't know how anyone can deny that it's a Christmas movie. Imo there is no debate and anyone who denies it is either crazy or trolling.
Yeah, Die Hard is very much a Christmas movie for my family as well. We watch it every Christmas eve right before we go to bed.
This is my favorite type of stream! Just listening to hermit's having fun talking and doing something together.

Diehard is absolutely a Christmas movie. The whole movie is about bringing a family together at Christmas time. There is Christmas spirit, Christmas music, Christmas quotes, man dressed as Santa, gifts, and the list goes on.
I completely understand you with the Costco chicken story. When I was 8 months pregnant with my daughter I didn't have any money, starving and just started a job at a speedway gas station. They had me making the new pizza every hour. All unsold pizza (which was usually a full pizza) was thrown in the trash. I asked them if it could be given away or if employees could eat it for lunch nope. Said if they caught me trying to eat it they'd fire me. Such a waste sucks having to do that.

I actually grew up in a town that had a lot of retired chicago mobsters... when I was a kid I would chat with these old men, only to find out years later a couple of them where high rank mafia from chicago.
Fortunately now aways Costco and other grocery stores don't throw away the rotisserie chickens anymore. They fridge them and the next day turn them into different cooked shredded chicken meals. And any chickens that can't be sold are put in a bin that gets sent to a fertilizer company if their contracted. Source - I worked in the meat department at a grocery store for 2 years.
That’s relieving to hear about :) I guessed that something could have changed since back then when Skizz was seeing firsthand what went on, but it’s good to be told
“Phantom Menace” was delayed late in the process so the novel and a bunch of other stuff came out early, like the novel and the soundtrack, so spoilers were everywhere. I got spoiled by looking at the soundtrack track list not thinking there would be any spoilers but one of the tracks was “Qui-Gon’s Noble End” and I was soooo mad because I had been so careful and got ambushed!
Now I don’t care about spoilers in 99% of the cases.
Idea about expanding the lore on Pop-Up Shops.
So Food Trucks exist that are real "shops", a hermit could sue the Poe-Poe for illegally seizing a "food truck" because it is a legal shop. So a hermit like Pearl could legally keep the bone truck

Context: this was early to mid 2000's iirc.
There was once a docu about a shop in france, where they got stuff out of the Isles that didnt expire untill like 2 or 3 days later, because image, and always threw it out. When homeless and organisations came ravaging through said still good food, they got verry annoyed about it and they ended up bleaching everything they threw out. I believe that management even said they would rather burn the stuff than keep it for sale or give it away to charity. This was like shipping container load or so every day or 2 days.
Now its been a long time scince ive seen that and this was like about 20 years ago filmed so i hope they changed that stuff right up.

Heya Buddy! Re: food waste - I want you to know that I work for charity in food outreach among other things and we now have food sustainability organisations in Australia for this very reason. Secondbite who work alongside Coles supermarkets and local charity organisations to save 60+ tonnes of landfill bound good edible food every year! We put that 60+ tonnes of food in peoples mouths in the community who are in need. If other supermarkets would get on board they too could save on landfill costs like Coles do. Ps. It costs more for them to bury it than give it away now! So that’s how we do it! I hope the US are in a similar mind as Australia. There’s absolutely no reason for people to be hungry ever in this world.

Regarding the throwing away food, idk what year you worked at Costco but in 1996 the Bill Emerson Food Donation Act was signed. It protects good will donations from legal ramifications. Many many many places still throw away so much food and use legal ramifications as an excuse but it's a straight up lie. You have no idea how mad the sheer amount of food waste makes me.
Joe's laugh reminds me a little of the Space Kook from Scooby Doo, I think he'd be great at doing that voice.

Cluedo is the original name made by Waddingtons in the UK, when it was licensed to Parker Bros in the US they tenamed the US version of the game to Clue.
Like a week into the semester after I graduated college, the ceiling in the engineering building collapsed with water spewing everywhere. Also, after I graduated, THE BAND IS GOING TO VEGAS (I was in the band). I can't be too mad since I was at the natty win in 2019, but I wanna see Vegas too.
I was watching scars stream thill like 01:00 for me it is funny to see how skizz got talked into helping, the jokes from joe were also so on point

I can accept the reasoning to reject Die Hard as a Christmas movie. It's the exact same reason I hate Once Bitten Twice Shy as a Christmas song. It takes place at Christmas, but has nothing else to do with it. Not to mention that there are 200 covers of it and my workplace has to play ALL OF THEM!
That one and Linus and Lucy from EVERY SINGLE PEANUTS MOVIE. But they don't play it a Halloween!

01:04:50 maybe it is just server/ client position stuff, minecraft gets pretty messed up with player positions on servers, a lot of stuff that works reliable on single player get pretty unreliable on server if they depend on the player position or move the player
if look at Doc crazy stuff, every time he wants to move a player, he put s them into a boat, in a mob, in mob in a boat, or something like that cause cause the postion of those entities is fully controlled by the server and is reliable
If it makes anybody feel better, Costco has changed their food waste system a LOT since then. They harvest the usable meat from the chickens that don't sell that day and use it in other products like the pot pies, salads, and packages of deboned chicken. Everything in the warehouse has a donation system in place for local homeless institutes and local pig farmers. A large number of things still get thrown away because that is how corperate sized systems have to work when it comes to food contamination safety and guessing daily demand. I'm not a fan of Costco, but this is one of the things they are doing as well as they can.

Dude christmas vacation is also my favorite movie!! Also I wanted to add that my first job, I was a cashier and dishwasher- I also made 4.25 an hour! In 2020! I mean I was a teenager but they really ripped me off, I never saw a paycheck above 30 dollars at that place!!! You'd think they'd pay me more for working during the plague!
Also my dumb work story, same job, I was trying to mop up the floor and I knocked over the mop bucket- water was everywhere, I was there for hours soaking it up! Horrible!

Hey Skizz, big TooL fan here, i got a musical suggestion for you; Igorrr (F) and they are amazing all the way, but a good intro (which was also my entry to this universe) is the song "Cheval" - I suggest this song because your squelshed throat screams made me think of the song "Cheval", and also because you seem to be quite a music fan, i mean..... TooL!!!! :) - So Igorrr - "Cheval" try it out. PS: An odd thing about Igorrr and the other bands these people play in they do not use human words in their lyrics, the female singer in the band doesn't feel that the human vocabulary is enough to express what the emotions in the music represent.

'Course people didn't know about the Palpatine thing when the first of the prequel movies came out. Lots of those who watched the films have never touched even one of the Star Wars books, canon or expanded universe. Many could be argued to have been too young, even within the Millennial generation itself--you've got to consider that while anyone qualified to call themselves that would probably have been old enough to watch the films with their parents, not many of these same parents necessarily saw the point in the books for kids in, say, second grade of elementary school? Many of the generation before the official generational cut-off date were younger than that, even.
In saying all this, the "shoulda read the book" thing is very much a more recent phenomena thanks to internet discourse (also more recent, lbr) giving a bigger platform to voice that attitude. What with people liking that they can hate, and rip on the limitations of film making. What do many think of the scope of a movie's allotted length, never mind budget? No one sits through the longest known movies without a break, or two; doable, but very unreasonable for the body. I _also_ prefer books, and really dislike when it is obvious someone was handed a script they know absolutely nothing about, and worse--don't care to research, or learn. I'm not about to say that I haven't ripped on movies I know cut corners, too, but I can't really say that it matters all that much. Not really.
