Im so excited for you to see Majima's 2nd fighting style. Southern Majima is great. If you want a point of reference, in the English dub of Yakuza 1, he was voiced by Mark Hamill and since Yakuza 7, he's been voiced by Matt Mercer. Both voice him like a slightly subdued Joker from Batman.
Bob is the DLC access point. Different outfits are only useable in Premium Adventure, which is basically when you keep playing after beating the story. Bob and Premium Adventure are present in basically allnof the games
Honestly, Majima is such a good guy. Even if he's forced to do all of this, he deeply cares for the well being of his employees, by always making things right for them. But thinking about it, it makes sense too : if they're having issues, they won't be doing their jobs correctly and it will make things worse 😂 You actually met Sagawa too ! He's not the most lovable guy, that's for sure. And i was pretty surprised he's using "chan" when talking about Majima. Maybe it's a way of mocking him or reminding him he's the superior here. Overall, i deeply love Sotenbori too ! The place and the whole atmosphere are so good ! And i can't wait for you to discover all of it, especially if you're doing some sidequests later (and if you're feeling it of course 😂) ! Imo this is one of the best translation of a Japanese game i've ever seen. The translation is extremely close to what's actually being said, not just by translating word for word but adding tones, dialects, idioms to perfectly convey how a person who understands Japanese would feel listening to the ingame dialogue
Great episode, I really loved the explanation of all the regional differences and how it all differs, things that just are barely explained in the series normally. Remember to check the top right corner of the screen for action prompts if you forget your buttons, it’ll tell you what you can press. (B is pick up) You should visit the shrine and upgrade soon, you’ve neglected it for the first few chapters. You *absolutely* need to do Karaoke with Majima at least once and do 24 Hour Cinderella, the cinematic if you get enough button presses right is iconic and is a highlight of any playthrough. Karaoke is in a building on the edge of that park you were in. Also keep an eye out, there’s a Mr Shakedown in Sotenbori too!
Well, it looks like Majima's situation is worse than we anticipated 😅 Now I'm intrigued by his backstory, I wanna know more! 😁 (Also I never mentioned it but I think the game's environments look great and the level of details in the game is impressive, with all the signs, npcs roaming around, different shops and street styles, it kinda feels like we're visiting actual places in Japan ☺️) I'm excited for the next part 😁
In this game, the area is called Sotenbori, but in reality, it is Dotonbori in Namba, Osaka, and the area with many signs along the river that Jahara saw is crowded with many tourists. The shop with the big crab is a real shop in that location, and there was also a fugu shop with a big fugu lantern, but it is now closed. Fugu contains poison in its internal organs such as the liver and ovaries, so only licensed chefs can prepare it. The reason it is sliced thinly has nothing to do with the poison, but because the flesh of fugu is tough, it is sliced thinly to make it easier to eat. By the way, the plates that you can get in the game can only be sold at a pawn shop. Sell them early to get money and use them to strengthen Majima, which will make you stronger.
Not many people ive seen have given Majima a southern accent but it just fits him so well

The shrine is the important bit, there are significant gameplay improvements that unlock there and they are a must do thing.

The karaoke bar is open. It's the door next to the little sign with the bird on it. Majima has a song called "24-Hour Cinderella" and it is BEAUTIFUL.
