For the last 6 months huntsman has been my EDC pocket tool. Great for the urban environment and for going into the woods. Best spent 30 pounds :) Great video, short and educational.
Nice video Rob gotta love a good old Swiss Army knife... Definitely think its worth spending the little extra with something like that too. Ive even heard people with the 'cheaper' version saying things have failed like the saw actually coming off in use! Sometimes you really do get what you pay for and its good to go with a brand you can trust. Nice one!! 😁👍🏻👍🏻
Omg come off that is not what you want when out in the field lol Yh I don't think you can beat the good old original Swiss army knife! I have heard that people have had there's for over 20 years! so can't really complain about the price when it lasts that long. Only had my about 4 months but has done me well so far 🤞 it lasts 20 year haha 😄 Thank you for watching 👍Rob
Hello and good evening Rob, does what ot says in the tin huh! I was bought a Swiss army knife for my thirteenth birthday....ever so slightly pre xbox, wish I had treasured it a bit more but last a few years! Yours looks great, cracking little army knife 🥢🔪🛎📌✂️🗡🔧
Glad you enjoyed yours, they really are a classic! They are good had this one for about 4 months now and has done me well! I hope it think it will last a long time. Thank you for watching 👍
I didn't get one but have seen on amazon that some people did get it so think it is a bit hit and miss. I paid £3.50 including pp for my extra small screwdriver that fits into the corkscrew
I wanted Huntsman and after prolonged research I found one Jelly Red like yours and it was cheaper than the regular one with red scales,I will need explorer because of magnifying glass...
I prefer the fieldmaster....the exact knife but trades corkscrew for a Phillips screwdriver.....infinitely more useful for a fisherman to keep reels screws tight.....they are only $26 Canadian at a discount outlet store here 2 days ago....Bought 2 more for my young boys to grow into!.....the cheapest retail I can find online here is $56 Canadian.....good score!
Yh if that works for you as a fisherman then fair play 👍 That is the best thing about these knifes bits and bobs can be changed to meet your needs. $26 not sure of the extrange rate from £ but that sounds like a really good deal good find 👍 Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment 👍Rob
@@AnotherDayAnotherWalk Greetings Rob, the Huntsman is my GoTo choice for PTK ( Pocket Tool Kit ) . My EDC is actually in winter a Pioneer /X & in summer a Cadet but if I feel I'm going to need a PTK I carry the Huntsman instead of them & my Huntsman is 'Pimped Out' with the SwissClip fitted instead of the key ring , the toothpick removed & replaced with the Firefly ferro rod & on the corkscrew I have added the orange tinder spiral & the mini-screwdriver . I also have a 2nd hand Huntsman on order from Ebay which when it arrives I will up grade with Plus scales .
@@stevesinclair4159 Sounds like you have really sorted your knife out and made it perfect for you which is what the Swiss army knife is all about. Thank you for sharing that information and thank you for watching 👍Rob
@@AnotherDayAnotherWalk Thanks Rob & I am subscribed to your channel. Last week I got a Huntsman from Tortoise Gear in California , the makers of the Firefly & Fire Ant ferro rods & tinder spirals, its the Morse Code scales model, its far too 'pretty' to use so I've put in in my growing collection of limited & special edition knives from all over the globe. The only other SAK which I think almost ( but not quite ) matches the Huntsman for selection of tools & versatility as a pocket tool kit is the EvoGrip S18 , I bought one a few weeks ago & have now ordered an S17 model which differs only in having a Philips screwdriver instead of the corkscrew & Red & Black grips instead of the S18's Yellow & Black ones . 4 layers of tools is my maximum for comfortable pocket carry & I really like the Lock blade on the S18, pity that Victorinox doesn't market a Huntsman with a Lock blade & factory fitted Plus scales, it would IMO be a winner!
@@stevesinclair4159 Thank you for subscribeing 😁 I will have to have a look at the EvoGrip, I do like to increase my knife collection they are just so handy with all my outdoor activities. I think they don't have the lock knife on the huntsman because it is illegal to have a lock knife without "good reason" and a few other bits of random UK law so is much more appealing to more people. Thank you 👍
I would replace the corkscrew and hook with pliers. A "hunter" doesn't need a corkscrew. A pliers, although small, has a good grip and is much more useful.
Yes pliers are very useful. Think Corkscrew does works well with untieing knots with very thin rope or twin like for making traps. But everyone has there own needs and is about finding the right one for you. Definitely agree that pliers are useful though 👌 Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment 👍Rob
Ive got one but its sorta like the one from crocodille dundee ,when he goes no this is a knife, for some reason i always feel safer when camping with it,stay safe debs..
@@debsmostexcellentadventure5353 Thanks!!! Got a few now and hoodies! Can have a look here if you want (unisex) www.bortshopping.com/collections/another-day-another-walk
Nobody talks about the fact that the knife doesn't lock. Thats a downside to me. I prefer the wood version, but sadly that misses the pinhole and tweezers.
Yh it has a couple flat heads and they can still be used to open Phillip's screws and the Corkscrew is very good at undoing knots plus a Corkscrew is a very unique bit of kit can't really use anything else if you want to open a bottle with a Cork. Plus it gives you room to put the small flat head screwdriver. But everyone has there own opinions and some bits of kit will work for some people and not for others. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment with your views 👍Rob
No no, there are a lot more possibilities with this knife, you only mention the superficial stuf everybody knows. So learn more about it and do the review again? friendly greetings, Onno Nugteren.
For me Huntsman is the best pocket knife. Thanks for video.
I 100% agree 👍 Thank you for watching 👍Rob
I agree, I carry the handyman and the huntsman primarily.
Yup! That's the one I bought too! Cutting wood was the clincher.
Definitely the best all round knife! I am sure yours will last years!

I bought the same knife plus the sharpener from victorinox, which is great for all knifes.
Not seen the sharpener! But tbh it is still really sharp all this time later! Thank you for watching 👍
Tolles Video und sehr sympathisch. Danke aus Deutschland, Niedersachsen
Just ordered one, so excited!! :)

The “poke” is an awl. I have the “Climber”. Stays sharp. It’s worth paying for the quality.

The flathead on the opener is small enough for most Phillips style heads.
I bought the field master. Same knife but replaces the bottle opener with a Phillips screwdriver. Either way it’s an awesome knife.
Yh they are really good! Have loads of features and stay sharp unlike other cheaper knives.
