The term "FGM" is discriminatory when used generally as here. It was coined by a radical feminist who had a cultural background of genital cutting according to which her own sons should have their genitals mutilated. For that reason it was imperative for her to establish a sharp distinction between her cultural cutting practice and African gender inclusive ones. So instead of using this exclusionary deeply sexist and racist term drop the "F" and simply call it GM to include all victims, the vast majority of which are boys.

What do you say to those from gender inclusive cutting communities who say you are just playing the hand of the Western cultural imperialist, adopting Western practice instead of native African?
