"Revenge is never a straight line. it's a forest; And like a forest; it's easy to lose your way, to get lost...to forget where you came in." - Hattori Hanzo
Fun fact: The guy who composed and produced the song was a German called James Last, Gheorghe Zamfir only played the pan flute on the track. I'm writing this, because only about 5 minutes ago I realized they're credited incorrectly in kill Bill.
This song gives me feels. I remember being at a festival and hearing this played by a few guys with a guitar and a pan flute. I immediately bought a pan flute and ocarina to support them.
Georghe Zamfir is incredible on the pan flute. This fit perfectly in the "Kill Bill" movies, as did the enchanting singing of the lovely Japanese warrior, Kaji Meiko, aka, "Lady Snowblood," one of Tarantino's key inspirations for "Killl Bill." Great movies, great music. Many thanks from a Texas cowboy.
I'm so glad I stumbled across this! I've hummed this song numerous times in my head, and had totally forgotten it was from Kill Bill. Now I get to hear it again :) Thank you Internet people!
First, the piece is called "The lonely Shepherd" (originally "Der einsame Hirte) and was written by JAMES LAST in 1977. Gheorghe Zamfir is only the panflute player accompanied by the James Last-orchestra (recording 1977). In Kill Bill1 mistakenly only the panflute player was credited with the piece and not the genius who created this beautiful melody.
oh my god! This music was coming from this movie??? I heard it on a cd of pan's flute. I thought it was coming from an old western movie... Now I really have to watch Kill Bill.
Peaceful & vengeful type of vibe. The kind of peace that comes from having only one path in life without the anxiety of having anything to lose because you've already lost it.
the theme in city lights is also memorable for its simplicity and pathos- that film is one of the best comedies of all time and, in my opinion, one of the top ten movies in any category- the creativity at that time was off the charts and chaplin was a genius- he was without peer in the first 25 years of cinema before hollywood became known for producing movies at an assembly line rate in the big studio system
Not War to create Peace You can't Force love. You can not Forcibly agree, When the Soul cries of protest. When Words are power, The weapon will not lead here to the Goal. Love is the master key of many Gates, Harmony and Peace will give for centuries.
@Soulful Notes Τhanks for your commrnent yes i love good music and try to listen to it every day,i will look your channel up,God Bless you and keep you safe as well.
+Rene S Actually it's originally from the 1977 album Rußland Erinnerungen (Memories of Russia) and was composed by James Last, with Gheorghe Zamfir playing the pan-flute. The original title is Der Einsame Hirte (German) or Одинокий Пастух (Odinokiy Pastukh - Russian); which translates, you've guessed it, as "The Lonely Shepherd". P.S. I don't mean to come across as pedantic, it's just that the song is often misattributed or improperly credited. :)

I LOVE how Tarantino's taste in soundtracks is all over the map! Who'd have thought he would have included this in a movie?
I'm so glad I stumbled across this! I've hummed this song numerous times in my head, and had totally forgotten it was from Kill Bill. Now I get to hear it again :) Thank you Internet people!

Peaceful & vengeful type of vibe. The kind of peace that comes from having only one path in life without the anxiety of having anything to lose because you've already lost it.
Yessss, James Last and Leo Rojas: "Der einsame Hirte"! A song so beautiful it's engraved into the universe!
the theme in city lights is also memorable for its simplicity and pathos- that film is one of the best comedies of all time and, in my opinion, one of the top ten movies in any category- the creativity at that time was off the charts and chaplin was a genius- he was without peer in the first 25 years of cinema before hollywood became known for producing movies at an assembly line rate in the big studio system
It makes me really think about an Ennio Morricone music!!!!
This is Jamest Last. You could try "Once Upon A Time In The West" by Ennio Morricone and played by Gheorghe Zamfir.
I think it's most likely inspired by Moriconne's music
@@stgeorgeslaysthedragon4939 Gheorghe Zamfir is original and unique.
😢😢💔 He passed today
this is clearly inspired by once upon a time in america song
Nostalgico bellissimo brano grande interpretazione musicale di Gheorghe Zamfir. Grazie
1:07 WTF furry fan art?
Lonely shepherd! by Romanian musician (pan flute)
and composer Gheorghe ZAMFIR
+imasu linh -- It was composed by JAMES LAST !!!
Gheorghe ZAMFIR played the panflute
The composer is not Georghe Zamfir. It's James Last!!! Georghe Zamfir was only the fluteplayer!
Well played by Ghorghe Zamfir but most likely the most german pan flute song ever made. Thanks though James Last.
i like the song and the pictures.good job
I love this song from our Bremen band leader James Last. Played by Ghorghe Zamfir.
Tarantino always chose the perfect music, a genius
BEST OF THE BEST MUSIC...

Zamfir live in de jaren 80, 't zal nodig zijn om opnieuw nieuw leven in de wereld te blazen.
Early morning song when the birds are chirping, and the air is so flesh and cool. No worries

" If on your journey, you should encounter God, God will be cut."
yeah yeah yeah we all know the lines
in real life it is a bullshit, may be this phrase has poetical value, but has no sense.
This song is EARGASM!!!!
mr Tarantino est un genie dans sa partie . Que de bon film et que de musique magnifique. Bravo a celui qui joue de la flute de pan.

MAGNIFIQUE !
He was one of those kids that saw the music he listened to as the soundtrack of his life, and imagined scenes in his life as scenes to a movie.
Και εγένετο η μουσική και όλοι βουβάθηκαν ,ανήμποροι να κουνηθούν, μαγεμένοι ,εκστασιασμένοι και για πρώτη φορά ζωντανοί κι ελεύθεροι...
Very good!
Maybe you didn't notice, but this isn't a vid.

"...Is she aware that her daughter is still alive?"
Awesome Pan flute solo.
Georghe Zamfir - Einsamer Hirte (Lonely Shepherd)
Huh, The Lion king & Kill Bill...
I think this is the sound of flute used by Red Indians which is so powerful, magical and mystical. Great music overall. 👍👍👍👍

The beggining made me think of the theme of "Once upon a time in america"

It is originally the soundtrack of the 1979 TV series " Golden Soak".
+Rene S Indeed ...
