GA you never know till you hunt them !!! Edge hunt format SILVER is the goal 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I do a little hunt on quarters every now and then. It started with the W quarter and now I’ll just grab about 5-8 rolls and go through them at my leisure. Rarely I do come across a W and when I’m very lucky I might get a W 75 privy. But now I’m also looking for some of the varieties. Not much to talk about there but like I said sometimes I do get lucky. I usually get Loomis wrapped coins and I seem to get more from them than anywhere else. Unlike some of the others I also check dates and condition. Date wise I generally look for 1982-83 ,as they didn’t issue any unc packages. So conditions are extremely important.
Finding silver is like trying to find the needle in the haystack
Just use a metal detector!
Lol
I have only been out a few times with my metal detector. Have found toy cars, wire, nails, and about $0.79 in current coinage. Would love to find some silver or gold though.
I need a metal detector, have 2 prime spots that I know I can check
I am a seasoned coin roll hunter and watching your videos has taught me to slow down and scope more coins, especially quarters. Thanks to you I found my first ever 1983 P spitting eagle.
That’s awesome. I probably should have scoped some of these but was just convinced these were from another hunter.
I think your gut feeling is usually right. Searching previously searched coins is a bummer and often is obvious they have been searched.@@GASilverHunter
It happens! I had a nothing-burger hunt this past week as well! Next time!
It’s tough to back to skunks when the boxes have been so good for so long. But yes it’s all part of the hobby.
I get excited when you hunt anything.
Thanks!🙏
The only coin star machine in the neighborhood charges 12.2% plus 50 cents for each time you use it.
The coin stars have gotten expensive. The walmart marketplace by me used to do "no fee" if you exchanged for a walmart gift card which was great if you were dropping in a box of pennies or nickels. Now its up to the same type fees you are talking about. I just re-wrap all of my coin and take it to the bank.
Some cool finds. Nice!
Was still worth checking
Yep... would have been a very different video had the box been loaded. :-)
Still fun to hunt them! Not much silver from the gold town!
Nope...would have been fun to find some gold though!
Dang! I was so excited! Better luck next time brother. Did you happen to get that challenge I sent??
I did. Made it by the PO Box on Saturday. Will put out a video this week on it. Should be fun. And thank you so much!!!
@@GASilverHunter of course! Hope you enjoy filling it! Can't wait to see.
Hello GA Silver hunter this is very satisfying going through half dollars and other denominations in coins.
Yes it is.
Well heck. You had to try it.
Yep
Better luck next time finding silver. Nice video.
Hope that you hit the silver streak!
Thank you
hey, good hunts and bad ones, right? That's the nature of the hobby. Good luck on the next one
Yep. This one was disappointing knowing what could have been.
I think you got punked into picking up somebody’s discards!😬😜
Maybe. :-)
I don't hunt for varieties in halves, just for silver, proofs, and NIFCs.
That’s a lot of people. And sometimes it’s not worth the time. But when you do find a variety worth $100 or more it’s pretty nice.
I feel the same way about NIFCs. Are they really worth anything except to the most hardcore collector?
I sell full collections of NIFCs for $40-50 so there is some money to be had but not much. Makes the hunts more fun.
OK, I thought it was only you and Rob but I guess other people must be interested in them. Good luck!@@GASilverHunter
Maybe that tip was actually his coin dump and he just wanted to see you go through his coin roll returns
Don’t think so. But possible.
Did you pan for any gold while you was in Dahlonega?
No. I made the trip just for the coins. It is something I want to do though.
Hey that’s 90% of my hunts. Just keeping it real
Absolutely. You just don’t normally get the tip there was silver in the box sitting right next to this one before you pick it up. :-).
Do you tend to have better luck with customer wrapped rolls or bank wrapped?
Depends on the denomination. But for halves I just don’t get that many customer wrapped.
I don't think that was the same customer....all my wrappers were yellow. ..like the older wrapped coins...I was hoping you got the other box....some rolls were actually marked with dates from the 70s on the roll itself.... sorry it wasn't the sister box😢
That said that was the only box they had.😢
It's all about timing, someone else may have seen my comment....who knows...I was anxious to see if you got the other box and video like you did....I feel bad that you didn't get anything....hitting the like button for you and subscribing.....I'll keep in touch with my finds and wishing you well in future hunts 🙏
Thanks for the tip. Just too bad it didn’t work out. Take care and hope to see you in the comments.
I wonder if those were dumped by the person that gave you the tip.
I don’t think so. But the thought crossed my mind. :-). Other commenters have said the same thing but I don’t think he would have done that to me.
Sorry it wasn’t better for you.
