The naked girl in the music video is the leader of the band, F. 'Chopper' Koga. They wanted to call the band Gachapin(ガチャピン), so they had to create the name 'Gacharic Spin' for it, similar to how Ankimo(あん肝) is to Unlucky Morpheus and Dorubako(ドル箱) is to Doll$Boxx. Doll$Boxx is the side project band of Gacharic Spin, and Fuki from Unlucky Morpheus as the vocalist.

    More songs? Let's see .....
    Mindset
    Replica
    Kachi Kachi Yama
    Let It Beat
    Mirai Ronso
    Baku Baku
    Forever 9teen
And many, many more! Often very upbeat music accompanying deep, emotional, sometimes dark and disturbing, even existentialist, lyrics (at least in English translation). A truly innovative band, especially in this current, definitive line-up.

Angie (the main vocalist here) was 19 at that time.
She made lots of progress in terms of control and projection of her emotions on her lyrics.
Try to listen to the song " REPLICA " which shows some improvments.

This Gacharic Spin song is different from their usual songs, though not unexpected (the Older Sisters (see below) have heavier side projects, though Angie, a Younger Sister, came up with the idea for this song), [Mindset] from the same album is closer to the types of songs they usually do (every song is different). On the music videos for [I wish I] and [Mindset] Yuri the current drummer is absent as she was off on Maternity leave.
Gacharic Spin is more stable than the Wiki article makes it appear on a quick read, the Older Sisters (the core of the band) are those members that have been around since 2012 (Koga F 2009, Hana F 2009, Tomo-zo 2009, Oreo Reona 2012) and they are stable. Between 2012 and 2019 they hired a bunch of Hype-Girls (dancers, cheerleaders) for audience interaction as both their main singers were trapped behind instruments, these hyper girls had a higher turn over so they inflated the ex-member list. In 2019 the Younger Sisters joined (Angie and Yuri) and the band has been stable since (the longest stretch of time were a member has not left). Gacharic Spin has radically different looks for each of the Eras: 2009 to 2012, 2012 to 2019, and 2019 to present and the Wikipedia article is showing older photos; to the point you would not think they are the same band.

Hey nice first reaction for GS! The current line up has now been together for 5 years and 4 of the 5 instrumentalists have been together since 2012 (Oreo the keyboardist celebrated 12 years with the band this week) the only change since then being adding a new drummer so the original drummer could become 2nd guitar. So the changes are definitely not so much of an issue as wiki might suggest. As Maarten says in more detail in his comment most of the changes relate to the performers - given I'm guessing you're not too fond of idol culture based on some of your comments here you might want to stick to the current (and final) iteration of the band, so live performances from 2019 onwards.
Their music goes very all over the place, so recommendations are difficult and depends to some extent on individual preferences, but I'd recommend "Let it Beat" or "BakuBaku" being their two most recent MV's from the EP "Ace" released about a month ago. For a live performance I would recommend "ナンマイダ" from their gig at Hibaya last November.

My fav song with Gacharic Spin is the song Black Survival. Gacharic Spin had a side project with the singer in Unlucky Morpeus called Doll$Boxx. Check out their old but fun musicvideo Take a Chance. The good thing is that Doll$Boxx is going on a revival tour later this year! I am a bit hyped by that and I envy you that live in Japan that can go on all these amazing bands.

Nice one 👍About the visuals, in the past they had a more of a set look where they wore costumes/uniforms, but ever since Oreo (keyboardist) took over as a visual director, they're wearing normal clothes most of the time, so they don't really have a set look anymore. Sometimes they might look like punk rockers and next time they might look like they've time travelled back from 70s, basically whatever Oreo comes up with.
My favorite Gacharic Spin song might be Never Say Never, but it's not easy to give a recommendation from them, because of the sheer variety of stuff they do and have done in the past. You could go with their latest single Let it Beat, their most popular MV Mindset or one their most signature songs Sekira Liar (there's a MV and bunch of live versions). If you want more straightforward rock stuff there's Live Every Moment, The Come Up Chapter, etc. Probably should be enough for now 🙂

Gacharic Spin has become one of my favorite bands, obviously because all of them are extremely talented, but also because of their ability to put a variety of genres into their song writing blender and somehow they make it flow. They are not following a trend but blazing their own path. From my understanding this song was written during the covid lockdown and expresses the uncertainty of the future, along with the nonsense going on in social media, but with the hope of better future. Yes, "the world is a beautiful place" I would recommend watching a live video for some real energy. They are one of those bands that excel when playing live. Here are a couple of recommendations: *Gacharic Spin MindSet (Live at EX THEATER ROPPONGI on June 20th, 2021)* and *【Live】Gacharic Spin「TAMASHII」2019*

This line up has been together since 2019, which is a long time for this band. And the today's musicality is quite different from other formations. Ah, Doll$boxx is a side project of them with Fuki on vocals. It was done in around 2013 (I guess, someone may correct this last information).

If you'd like to try some of the classic Gacharic Spin sound, consider Sekira Liar. They have a cool music video, and a variety of first rate live performances. Hana is prime vocalist for that one.

Basically my fav band, glad you appreciate.
MaartenT and HomeGnome covered most of what I wanted to say. The “2nd guitarist” TomoZo, having moved to the city alone at 16 to go pro, joined (at 21) when the band was something like 14weeks old, not fair to not call her a founder, tho it was Koga’s idea to start the thing based around Hana’s renaissance-style musical genius, even tho she then switched from singer/bassist to drummer/producer. And classically trained Reona (“Oreo”) was with Tomo 2-3 years before that, just took her 2-3 years to claim full membership privileges in GS, now 12years ago (per her Insta this week). So those core 4 have a combined 57 years invested in this band! (Founded 2009 when they were 23.) Of course in 2018-19 Angie was recruited from a junior year talent show, and drummer Yuri was poached in a hurried (whimsical?) way weeks later, but that was 5years ago and this lineup is on fire.
It’s hard to define what’s their typical, they had eras, along with a change in uniforms every year or so, but they utilize consistent idol-style personality branding (color codes, exaggerated comedy or crying, or hysteria), so fans can fan-out.
I like their 10th anniversary dvd, the first with this lineup, Angie still as much hype girl as front woman (the show was right before her senior year, age 17; what a risk/catch for an established band?!). Here’s one of their first songs 2010’s dance rock with a prog breakdown, but reworked for/by Angie to be heavy, and yet even more dynamic, and preserve the chance to have audience participate (& to sell merch, gloves with LEDs🤷‍♂️)
Try 2019’s Juicy Beats live ruclips.net/video/pObpM-MNpVk/видео.htmlsi=iYfHsN_ZBi7hJp4l
Interesting that you appreciate the keyboards, cool. One of my gripes is that it’s at the expense of guitar in the mix; TomoZo is outstanding, whether originality, or shreddy, or disco, or acoustic, even Latin jazzy at times. But the solos, while sometimes mini compositions themselves, are most often quick flourishes that have to get in & out of the way of the return to a pop chorus or some such. There are exceptions, plenty of genre mashing different styles sing to get to, including some written by BabyMetal’s star guitarist Takayoshi Ohmura. And their other major signed band (maybe no ones gone into them being the busiest band in the land?), “Doll$Boxx”, is more hard rock and features TomoZo’s guitar more. I can also make a case for them (a Doll$Boxx video) being (direct?!) inspiration to start BandMaid, and they play Naon no Yaon as much as Saki (Nemophila, Mary’s Blood, Amahiru, etc). If ya don’t know, your subscribers will eventually get you there 😉 Point is, for only being 30something young, and only having occasionally cracked the top 20lists, they’re seasoned pros who have influenced Hatsune Miku, AKB48, have starred in a zombie movie, have more collab side projects like Metallic Spin in character as European metalsnobs… oh, TomoZo is a comedienne, and a 100,000,014 yr old alien, at least two (6?) videos you’ll have to see about that… We’ll get you there
Oh, and you might be the rare westerner that can appreciate lyrics being sometimes existential, and sometimes pun-nerific 🤘🎸💃😎

My favourite GS song is Mindset. I think it is wrong to think of a turn over of members as a bad thing my feeling is that everyone I have worked with has brought something that has developed the bands sound and they, I, & the band have always parted having learnt & benefited from our interactions; even if at the time it has felt sad or painful. From sadness, pain and anger come beauty perhaps?

The four core members Koga, Hana, Tomo-zo and Oreo have been together since 2011. Three dancers left and were not replaced, a guitarist left before any recordings, and Armmy was ill. Everyone does sing, though drummer Yuri and bass Koga less often. Angelina and Hana usual leads but often Oreo. Guitarist Tomo-zo lead in songs in own style. Angelina and Yuri have fit in well for good continuity.

You pronounced their name correctly, which doesn't happen a lot on first try. Probably because you know Japanese and understand how they would pronounce it. As far as their music goes, it's is very much all over the place both in 1 track and over multiple tracks.
As far as the member changes go, most of the instrumentalists are with the band for a long time. The main changes were with the dancers/performers over time (who were all plucked out of school at a very young age). They used the performers because their lead vocalist left in 2012 (and passed away a couple of years later) and having a drummer and keyboard vocalist leaves a big empty spot in front of the stage. The current mic performer/vocalist Angie (with pink hair) was 17 when she joined and is now 21 or 22, most of the other members (not counting the new drummer) are in their mid to late 30's. But for some reason it works really well. I am pretty sure they said this is going to be the last itteration of their band, I think they are done changing out members.
As far as the performers who left go, one of them left to focus on school and an other one had to stop playing music because of hearing issues, so the amount of different members looks worse than it is. It's nothing like Destrose where the issue seemed to be that it is very difficult to work with Captain Mina.
The "naked lady" is the bass player, who actually used to be a gravure model I believe. They weren't going to put 17 year old Angie there, that's for sure. I read that she wasn't allowed to sing some of the lyrics from their early tracks when she started because they were sometimes about being "sexy" and stuff like that. I personally much prefer their current style, their early style is more electronic pop/rock which was without a doubt based on Idol culture including them all having their colors and things like that but still with very good musicianship. Still worth checking out live performances of those though, Gacharic Spin are amazing live. They used to say they were an entertainment group and it shows, with a lot of energy and crowd interaction.
Also, while some of their early stuff seems slightly based on some idol culture, they had a spin-off band Doll$boxx (pronounce the $ as an s) which they did with Fuki from Unlucky Morpheus where in one of the music videos very much mocked the whole culture (seemingly from my perspective), so who knows. The spin-off came about when Fuki was a guest vocalist for them (among others) when their original vocalist left and it seemingly clicked enough to form a side-project. They are actually going to perform as Doll$boxx again this year after performing together in 2012 and 2017.

I haven't checked in a while though, so I might have missed it, but the yt channel I found a link of has been removed. It's probably something Gacharic Spin should try to mitigate though because bassist Koga has had problems with hearing multiple times over the years. And for Nenne, it happened when she was under 20 years old, which isn't great. I love the recommendation for the video though, that is one of my favourite live performances by them.

I agree, I would probably put the lineup with Nenne as my second favourite, right after the current one, mainly because of how they utilized her skillset. But I can imagine not being super interested in music if she really did damage her hearing permanently (I have no clue if that's the case). Also, it looks like she is 25 now (about 18 when she left GS), she might have found other interests.

But they are ultimately a live band. The performance that make the deepest impression on me is when GACHARIC SPIN opened their set at NAONのYAON 2023, the Tokyo festival celebrating female musicians, with an explosive performance of REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY and THE COME UP CHAPTER - ruclips.net/video/eEFYh3WiybA/видео.html
