I can't help but smile whenever i'm listening to this kind of music. It stirs a kind of euphoric melancholy, a recognition of times and places I've never actually seen.
Perhaps these times and places you HAVE seen. Open your mind to endless possibility. Within it lies every truth and untruth you have ever known from the beginning until the end of time
This is great, one of the better norse-inspired materials I've heard lately. And I would probably never heard of this project if it wasn't uploaded here. The channel provides some of the finest choices in music generally. Great job and keep going! Paleowolf
The last year or so for music is absolutely fkin killing me, I've discovered Anilah, Wardruna, Evior, Danheim Runfell, Skald, The HU, Hunnu, and many more. :D Keep it coming :D

I agree with so many others. This IS one of the best Channels on YT>!! Thank you for giving us something other than the saccharin-sweet pop or the repetitious rock so prevalent on today's mainstream media stations.
man this album is GREAT Love to listen to expiremental electronic music, ambient and norse/germanic/whatever music like heilung/danheim/wardruna to call the big ones and this right here is SUCH a good mixture of all 3 WOW!!
This is an excellent record! You earned another fan here. I listen to Wardruna, Heilung, and Danheim all the time, so I’m more than glad to add this to my playlist. Skal!
I don't understand people who feel the need to boast about their ancestry, as if they had anything to do with it. As for the music - this album is a masterpiece!
I'm gonna tell you the truth. I go to sleep with this playing by my bed for the past month, I start it at about 6:00 and usually fall asleep one or two songs before it's over.
Odin has nothing to do with music...FYI the Norse god of poetry and music was Bragi but I for one prefer to hail Ibn Fadlan, peaceful traveller and chronicler of the ways of the Norse. Salam al malakaim afendi!
Life washed over the old warrior as he witnessed the Valkyries methodically move through the battlefield . "SEE ME, ODIN!!", he screamed with the last of his might...."this...night...I dine....in....Valhalla...."
Wardruna is more viking-inspired, Heilung is more shamanistic. This album reminds me more of iron age sweden and that whole petroglyph and stone-ship culture. It makes me think of Gotland, actually
What do we bealive in our life, our families, our spirits to the gods and ancestors? Does who have done god things to our mother earth and nature ,we will be safe by our gods if something will happens. We Vikings will survive to Valhalla for my heart of all Scandinavia that trust of real Gods of our world.
The Giant looked over the men in awe, For never before had such slightness he saw. Yet man did not come to stay, they turned and ran far away. Till one man dared come back one day, to look upon where Giants lay. He shuddered and shrieked at the sight beyond his feet, And swore these monsters he would one day slay.
Bandcamp lists Torulf, Glasgow,UK, then say the artist is from Sweden. Somewhat confusing, but neither the artist name, album name nor the music sound Scottish.
This is a little derivative of Wardruna. I like it but there is too much reliance on electronic instruments and an excessive amount of reverb and if you think listening to this will connect you to some mystical Golden Age before the coming of Christ...both this music and the device you are listening to it with are the products of 21st century technology that would not exist were it not for the widespread literacy and dissemination of knowledge brought about by the Renaissance, the Protestant Reformation and the Industrial Age. If you really want to get in touch with Nature turn off your devices and go out into the wild places of the world alone like I do. In fact if I did not have an infected cut on my leg right now I would have gone out into the bush today.
Tho this music reconnects me so much with my warrior sisters from the Pagan Golden Age. It pleases the roots of my ancestors and makes me want to go back in battle. Hail Odin!
@@otaishida As I pointed out there was no Golden Age, and speaking as someone who actually knows their family history if you were indeed to ride into battle with your pagan warrior sisters you would probably not do so well if you sailed to France because the kings of France paid my ancestors well to fight against other Norsemen, and we built some of our finest churches on pagan burial grounds!

Amazing album! Sounds like the soundtrack of a Viking setting sail for new shores.
Excellent sounds and excellent background visuals.

Many say it is like Heilung and Wardruna (love both of them) but I feel a bit more reminded of the Danheim material.
I would say this one its unique in some way
Kamil Bałdyga I agree, Torulf has got influences from other artists but IMO he has created his own unique sound which is mesmerising and atmospheric

Not a huge Danheim fan just for the reason its really not super historical but some of his work really hits home but I for sure see what you’re saying

Music isn't written according to your tastes, "ruined" is a strong word to say it is not something you enjoy.
