  • Our tying series continues with The Wemoc Adams, originated by fly tyer and author Mike Valla, and tyed here by Seth Cavarretta. In an effort to speed up the tying of the classic Adams fly pattern, Mike chose to incorporate the use of Cree hackle, which has all of the colors necessary for the Adams; brown, white, and black, but all housed in one stem as opposed to blending two for the effect. The Wemoc Adams also has the addition of the rib, which toughens up the body, and adds a bit of sparkle with a nod to Atherton. Enjoy!

Beautifully proportioned and tied. Fun to see. Thanks! Really enjoyed seeing the fly shop last June during my trip to the Willowemoc.
