There's a good chance I will find someone again too. I am doing a lot better than before. I was hanging on by a very thin thread for a few months. One of the main reasons I wrote this was just maybe one other person might treasure what they have before they lose it. I see couples arguing sometimes and I can just shake my head. This song actually reminds me of my parents divorce and my dad having to move out. I was six years old and this song still brings back that pain like it was yesterday but I still love the song because it reminds me of the love I had and needed from him. He was in my life but I could not see him much and it was very hard. It is truly amazing how these old song can be a time machine!

Yeah. This song came out at the same time my wife took my 1 year old son, got on a plane in Alaska and deserted me without notice. She left a note saying she went shopping. I lost 30 pounds from depression and it took me 3 years to smile again. Music can explain how you feel better than words. I never forgave her. I see my son now trying to make up for all the years I couldn't be there. She blamed it on her immaturity.
I know something similar that happened to a friend of mine. Left him took the baby. Never to be seen again..best wishes..

As a 10 year old kid in 1977 first hearing this on my favorite radio station was an almost life altering experience. I had never heard anything like it, it was sad, yet a moving, haunting song. All these years later, it's still in the back of my head. That's what powerful and beautiful music can do for the soul, it stays with you forever.
i always thought they had to stick that upbeat musical interlude in the middle because the song was too sad without it.

My father raised me on 70s music, its so beautiful and its beauty definitely stands on its own. cannot be compared. but just as 70s music was seen as new young rebellious and misunderstood by older generations so is rap. music taste is fully developed by the age of 20. My Ex GF from over 47yrs ago sent me this Video last year...She found the Cassette I bought her all those years ago and played it again...then searched RUclips...Music is a Time Portal....I am a Happily Married Man with Grandkids etc..She too is Married...Yet BOOM there I am in my head back to remembering her and myself listening to this song on a cassette player in my Bedroom..Madly in Love ..I miss Ange in many ways....Awesome ways and then heart ache ways...Music can be uplifting and heart breaking....I hope her life is an amazing one..
He was 37 and she was 35 years old. My Buddy had a love relationship you'd never seen before. Such love between the two, beyond belief. Just over a year after the beginning of their relationship she developed terminal cancer and was given less than a year to live. What devastation! That being said, their love grew even stronger. On the night she passed away she was in his arms and the background music was playing. As she spoke her last words, "I'll always love you," this song started playing. And tears just flowed down our eyes. We have never forgotten this song, which of course reminds of her passing. BREAD...such good music!

This song is hard to listen to. I high school, I ran with TK. In college, he was dating a cross country runner at Iowa State. On Nov 26, 1985, she was killed in a plane crash. TK was truly lost with her love and took his life. I was on the ISU campus too, I wish I had know what he was going through. This song brought all those memories back.

I was 11 when I heard this for first time..I was at rolling skating rink and when a slow song came on, of course it was couples skate time. I always shied away from it because I saw myself as an ugly kid and I usually went to bathroom during that time to "hide". But then a beautiful girl tapped me on the shoulder and asked to skate with me. We did, but I had long hair then and her parents didn't dig that so I never saw her again...I went every Friday nite and prayed. She never came back.

And we'll all have to face it someday, and every of our love ones we’ve loss will always want to see us happy again wherever they’re. I loss my oldest daughter Annabel February 24th 2020 in a crucial car accident, and she just turned 22 on her last birthday before she got knocked down by a moving vehicle 🚗 and so unlucky for me that horrible day the driver was drunk. That was the worst and most lamenting day of my whole life as a single Dad raising two kid's, my 17 years old son Clark and my 4 legged 🐶 families are my everything and the reason I still keep strong, and keep going! My late wife passed away three years ago from a shocking disease, I felt devastated with grief, and I was so heartbroken 💔 but God and time are indeed the best healers. Hope you’ve found peace, comfort and happiness again?

ive listened to bread since i was like 5 years old (my dad used to listen to bread since he was like 8 years old), now i am 20.....year by year i listened to this music.....still, every time i hear, it stills touches me greatly, somehow if it was like the first time. Bread is music that stays for ever....not like the trash young people listen to these days (like lesbian justin beiber)...everybody forgets about those songs after a small amount of time.

Used to go parking with an old boyfriend and we would have a "Bread" tape in the tape player. I love my husband more than anything, but a song by "Bread" can always but a smile on my face.
I don't think it would make your husband smile...or think you "love him more than anything". I think hubby needs to know about why "Bread always puts a smile on your face"...he deserves to know what his wife is.
