on group 2 the first hand, why is the 2H forcing? Opener has limited values by the rebid of 2 C, responder with a 5/4 shape and 6-9 HCP but only1 club would be asking partner if hearts or spades are better therefore non forcing. to be a forcing bid 10+ HCP responder would bid 3 Hearts surrely
Nearly all, or all, bridge authorities would say that a new suit rebid by responder is forcing for example Richard Pavlicek- www.rpbridge.net/3d00.htm If you have to jump to make a forcing bid it would make it hard for responder to invite rather than force to game.
@@TonyStawBridgeClass My question was initiated by this months, February, issue of the EBU magazine where Sarah Bell has written an article on Forcing bids in her Acolytes page. Auctions 7 and 8 highlight the point which contradicts the position you have taken. The beauty of bridge.
@@andrewbillinge188 could you provide those examples? I would never consider 2H by reponder non-forcing in this situation. Unfortunately I can't access the article since it's less than 12 months old and I'm not a member of the EBU.
