I Agree with you! hehe! But... according to my standards/preferences of warm/weather ... I like October! It's warmer and better to swim! =) But August it's great!
When I travel the first thing I do is make sure the weather is sunny and the sun is shining I look for the warmest and hottest months in any other country that's the only time I will make my traveling reservations, to plan a good trip the weather is what you look for
I’m travelling in mid April and coming back end of April . Would you say it’s a good time to travel ? Have seen few videos of excessive rain during this time🥲- or would October, September be better for beach lovers ?
I'd say avoid Dec-Mar. Been to Rio twice - both times in January - and it might as well be the dreariest place on the planet since it rains constantly and the rain lasts the entire day. Plus, often it is not a light rain but a hard driving, relentless rain that you can't even walk in without getting completely soaked. Also, thanks to the heavy cloud cover, it is actually cold and jacket weather. Not exactly what one expects for Rio. Also, since the weather is considered cold for the locals, they don't head out either and so the city goes dead.
Thanks a lot for the video! How does humidity feel like in Christmas in Rio? Is it like tropical places? Is it hot and humid during the not rainy days also??
Most Brazilians don't understand that Europeans / North Americans can bath in Brasilian waters all year round and for them the water is ALWAYS warm (I've often stayed in the water for up to four hours without a wet suit.!!) With regards to Rio, well Brasil has thousands of miles of beach so it isn't really necessary to bath at any city centre. Many are tropical paradises and deserted.!! I found that Rio can be a bit polluted, but it does have outlying / suburban beaches which are cleaner and where the locals go.
Hey, I want to fly to Rio this weekend. I wanted to ask you, I have a option to stay either 2,3 or 4 weeks. How long should I stay? I also want to see São Paulo and maybe some other little trips
I think 3 or 4 weeks! There are a lot to see in Rio and the cities around like Buzios and Arraial do Cabo! In your way to São Paulo on the coast you can still visit Paraty, Paraty Mirim, Angra dos Reis and Ilhabela! I would recommend you at least 10 days in Rio, 3 or 4 days in each city and no more than 5 days in São Paulo! Have a safe trip to Brazil and let me know it you need anything!
I planned to be in Rio this year but Covid happened. Hopefully I’ll get there next year. Thanks for the video. I was thinking of may, is that a good time? I hear it can rain more in April?
Hi Steven! Are you going only to Rio? Yes, May is good: Low season, warm in most of the cities, and about the rain, it's more about luck than planning... but in general the rain is better in May, than in March! btw, there is a famous Brazilian song called: ''Águas de Março''- google, it's beautiful! - and it says about the rain in the month of March (it can be quite strong, but normally not many days in a row, so it's not a rainy season). In my opinion you don't need to concern about the rain. It's really about luck - in Rio de Janeiro. (If you are going to the Amazon forest, then it's different. There is clearly the rainy season there.)
Only in Brazil thanks for the reply. I will check out the song. I plan really to only visit Rio, I want to have a few weeks of sunbathing and also see the local sites. I have not had a beach holiday in a long time :)
@@Steven-qi4gm Well, then write down these 10 names: (I'm writing a free ebook, and one of the chapters is about 10 best beaches in Rio city. I haven't finished yet, but I've already selected the beaches... still writing how to get there, what to expect, etc...) but I think it will help for now! =D
thanks for the video. I am going to visit Rio for 9 days in Dec 22. In your opinion how often does it rain in December since December is considered wettest month. Does it rain for short period in a day or whole day.
Im planning to go this january (mid-end). I want to visit Rio, Ilha Grande and Paraty. Was it a mistake booking this time? I see a lot of people posting about floods and stuff..
Hi Jay! each city can decide what is open and until what time. I think in everywhere bars, shops and restaurants are open. (clubs and big parties forbidden) In some cities the business have to close earlier... like at 20:00... but it changes fast and in touristic cities it's working more hours.
Hello again. I am planning to come to Rio for 14 days but will be coming alone in mid april. Do you think I will get bored being there for 2 weeks? Would you recommend travelling to see São Paulo or Salvador while I’m in brasil? Thanks
Hi Steven! How are you doing? I think in 14 days, in April, you won't be bored in Rio (if it was June/July, because it's winter, I think it could be possible). But it's time enough to see more than the main attractions. If you're the type of person who like to see the things fast and only the main attractions, I believe it's better to use part of this time to go somewhere else. Personally, I would split like this: 7 Days in Rio + other cities other cities "near" Rio can be: - Sao Paulo 4 days + beach cities around like PARATY, for example or 7 Days in Rio + nice little beach cities around Rio (cities like: Buzio, Ilha Grande, Paraty and Angra dos Reis) If you don't mind to take a flight and feel like to see a really nice part of the country, go to the northeast of Brazil. (google: Maragogi, lençóis maranhenses, and Fernando de Noronha)
@@onlyinbrazil4736 thank you for the amazing advice. I think will possibly see some other parts of Brazil. Hopefully it is easy to book short flights at the last moment as I will wait until I arrive to decide where else to go depending on weather.
@@onlyinbrazil4736 may I also ask. Is there some nightlife that isn’t too crazy close to ipanima / Copacabana beach? Maybe some live music or something in April time? I see there are bars on the beach front too, will they still be open in April as it is low season? Being on my own I don’t want to go to the bars on the inner city at night, I’d prefer to stay closer to the beach area where my Airbnb will be.
