@@petescarp4275 lol it's not a power mod. i mean, theoretically better airflow should give you a slight increase, but likely not noticeable without a dyno.
@@SpaceMissile I know that if you look at the top of the video it says easy exhaust upgrade and sound and horsepower I was saying it doesn't add horsepower I didn't want to my GTI can't really notice the difference in sound at all just a little bit maybe with a downpipe I'll get some more sound.
@@petescarp4275 ahhh, fair enough - i missed that bit. i'd recommend the downpipe though. I got a lot more sound out of my exhaust when i did mine, and i wasn't even expecting to hear a change in sound. surprised me entirely. @@SpaceMissile definitely doing that soon , just flashed my gti with unitronic 1+ 93oct and the TCU tune. I know it's not the most power but I want to reliability need this as a daily for 10 years lol my fast days are over 😂
I did this to my S3, if you don't want anything to over the top or loud like a down pipe and where the valves still work well, this is cheap and it does make it sound a lot nicer on DSG changes and in person. I would recommend for how cheap and easy!
Jeremy Khuu On the mk7/7.5 gti, it has no drone whatsoever.. if you are concerned on loudness, it is not loud when you cruise, on the highway, you’ll probably be listening to a song so not an issue, things just cancel out.
My dad had a golf r with a res delete and it sounded so nice, about a month ago now my dad just bought a 2017 mk 7.5 gti and the res delete is being fitted today
@@bkroko it's definitely not the Clubsport exhaust. The tips on the Clubsport exhaust are noticeably bigger. Also mk7.5 GTIs have the 7-speed DSG instead of the 6-speed DSG in the mk7s. The 7-speed DSG doesn't fart stock I believe
My 2019 gti rabbit started to have the dsg farts occasionally after I went stage 1. I do also have a turbo inlet pipe and turbo muffler delete so not sure if that helped.
Its wierd that some say they cant hear the difference. I noticed straight away on my first startup without resonator and its forsure louder and deeper.
Was the microphone shoved in the exhaust? I have a res delete and it sounds the same as stock. Not worthwhile upgrade. 18 mk7.5. Now maybe if your car has the oem dp that only has one cat. But otherwise a lot of people will be disappointed.
This is absolutely still stock, aside from the resonator delete. I did this exact mod a year ago, and while I've done more since, I definitely remember this is what my exhaust sounded like at the time.
My DSG never farted like that but now I have a catted downpipe and the farts are just as loud as the car in the video. I'm speaking from my experience I also probably need to service my DSG, it's has 60k miles never serviced that might be why it's not as loud.
@Chesticular Cancer CARVANA messed up my title. I ended up returning m7 2019. I simply cannot find any GTI close to me with the feature I want. sad face :(
my res deleted 7.5 gti sounds way louder.. unfortunately I got the cold start video on my channel but I’ll soon put a video of a flybys and accelerations..
I thought the resonator was more for a reduction of interior noise. Never could understand why people want a loud raspy car. The damn thing isn’t a stock car or super stock dragster, so why would you want that sound. Oh well
Stock is much quieter. Ive done plenty of resonator deletes and it gives it a bit more tone to the car. Plus its also a weight reduction.. they weigh 10-12lbs
This is the exact format all exhaust sound videos should take. Excellent work
Agree
This was/is a very complete production. Thanks!
Ive never heard a stock gti/R sound so good
Did the res delete on my mk7.5 gti sounds a little louder more DSG fart , but definitely no power added

Not a significant difference in sound.

I sounds louder but not in this video, check out my Instagram highlight called “XD” at my page @mkviis .. you can tell the difference easily

I don’t recall my DSG farts ever being that loud when stock.
Exactly!
I don't even have DSG farts in my 2020 GTI SE with the 7 speed....at least you have them...
same here, my guess is it has the clubsport exhaust and they are calling that stock since technically it is a stock part

My car is stock and sounds nothing like this...
lol this made me laugh pretty hard and idk why.
i can just picture the grumpy look over at the car in the driveway. "why aren't _you_ cool like this?"
LMAO me too, mine sounds like a hybrid compared to my friends wrx :/
My stock exhuast sounds nothing like this 🤔🤔🤔
there has to be a downpipe on in

I did a resonator delete and muffler delete on my Jetta and it sounds amazing
it sounds like you have downpipe installed for both stock and res delete.
I think so too. Gti stock It doesn't sound this much
just ordered a res-delete pipe. should pair nicely with my larger downpipe. looking forward to a subtle change in volume and tone.
oh hey! it's me from 7 months ago! I like that vid you got of the installation!
_lookin cute too, boo_ 😉
Simple and Perfect video!
Best sound comparison, love the diagram...
the diagram was awesome
With catless downpipe or not??? Great sound!
This sound cannot be accomplished without a downpipe? What is the set up on that GTI? Is it catted?
Yeah that's not stock
Leo Douglas mine dsg farted with a stock downpipe this may be still stock

I’m not sure what kind of stock exhaust that is but mine definitely doesn’t crackle like that when it shifts or sound like that
Is that car tuned? Mine didn't sound like that stock...now I got awe track
And dsg farts are quiet but sound ok
If its a PPF, GPF car the dsg farts are a lot quieter and upgraded exhausts only gives a slighty upgraded noise..
I have a A3 with a downpipe would it sound nice if I do the delete and keep the muffler
How much extra power cam you expect from a res delete? Thanks..
Will this also help fuel economy?
What’s the HP gain you claim on the title page for the video? I assume this has been dyno verified
Is this a tuned Vw or bone stock I removed my rear muffler only and I don’t hear the tranny shifting berp
Does res make dsg farts and does it drone on motorway?
What is the difference in DB?
I have a 2020 gti and I never hear the dsg farts
I think the newer engine doesn't fart (MK7.5). The earlier ones do, 2017 and before.
My 7.5 does fart.
2020 should also...
@Chesticular Cancer CARVANA messed up my title. I ended up returning m7 2019. I simply cannot find any GTI close to me with the feature I want. sad face :(
@Chesticular Cancer you can fart by yourself when speeding same sound
Is this a 2.5” or 3” pipe?
Will it work with the 1.8?
Will this bolt up to a TCR/CSS muffler?
Is with OPF o no?
I'm assuming it has a catless downpipe?
"More exhilarating turbo noise" how exactly does a res-delete give you more turbo noise?
I have it on my 1.8tsi dsg polo gti and can confirm it definitely makes the turbo more audible.
Less back pressure I guess
I love golf 😊
How about one for the jetta/gli
So, the thumbnail says it adds horsepower. It doesn't and you don't even attempt to prove it does.
I prefer the stock exhaust. although I dont really hear much of a difference.

why does this Gti have dsg farts with the stock exhaust? mine doesn't have that
My guess is it’s cold out i have a mk8 24 with stock exhaust and i have farts all the time but even more when it’s cold out
Yep, sounds exactly the same.
Nice video delete tour cat for better sound 😊
Did you fart? No did you? I think it was my car... 🤣🚗💨
Do you have it for a 2020 vw gti 2.0
This fits all MK7 and MK7.5 GTI's 👍
not just a resonator delete that’s for sure
Will this fit a mk 7.5?
hahah :) did you even read, it says 7/7.5 :P
Huh? Stock sounds better! Jeeze man what am I missing?
Not that I’m trying; but it’s very easy to be a “Dick” on here
You should never judge exhaust sound soley on a video.
And now with 3inch decat
🔥🔥🔥🔥
ooooohh thats why his is an auto thats why mine is soo damn quiet they dont want me to bounce the rev limiter
I thought the resonator was more for a reduction of interior noise. Never could understand why people want a loud raspy car. The damn thing isn’t a stock car or super stock dragster, so why would you want that sound. Oh well
My car with an APR DP and stock exhaust is louder than removing the resonator. Waste of money in my opinion to remove the resonator.
its cheap af and sounds alot better. Had mine removed a week ago.
Riinu Veebel do you have an mk7.5?
Silly video. The GTI isn't 'stock' in the first run, and a res delete will add zero extra power
so when the fuck is mine gonna sound like this stock?
Waste of money.
I dont hear wow difference 🤔
I don’t know about this mod it’s waist of time sounds better stock 🤔
Stock is much quieter. Ive done plenty of resonator deletes and it gives it a bit more tone to the car. Plus its also a weight reduction.. they weigh 10-12lbs
There’s a big difference, the dsg farts are definitely more apparent
Barely any difference in sound
Can I have it
Sure, product link is in the description!😎
ECS Tuning is the GTI in this video tuned? Mine doesn't sound like that stock 😂
sounds the same to me just plain old farting.........BRING BACK THE VR6
sounds worse, also isnt louer
Minimal difference. Waste of time
