Also I think that most people are overrating max's counter there because it is literally his siganture style that everyone thought only he was able to do and xiphire just did his combos COMBINED with his own fucking combos ! So I think this is actually xiphire indirectly countering max and makes his "counter" even less impressive imo
When people say "Xiphire isn't GBB level" I wonder if they're comparing him to D-Low or comparing him to whoever wins a GBB wildcard, because he has the potentials for that. Anyways, Max's first round could've been so good. But I feel like he lost energy and broke flow in a lot of parts, the "every time I go" intro was awesome though.

Although this battle Max vs Xiphire was pretty insane compared to some rounds of h1ppy vs Sonus, and of course I don't want to belittle the routines of these beatboxers, as they are different styles but they are very good, if the battle is musicality or technicality with drops
