this block of metal needs to go to a museum.
Nah screw that I'd die before i put that in a museum
what about the sword itsself?
nvm i thought you were talking about the 2 chunks he was giving away
@@ballsacksniffer420 in the manga it is said that it is not so big and heavy that it can no longer be called a sword, but a block of metal
@@JonasRosado I did not understand
On one hand, this sword is never meant to be used, just looked at in Awe of Guts absurd strength. On the other hand, I kinda hope someone like Allen Pan or Hacksmith approaches you with a robot arm that can swing it, just so we can see this monster in action.
Finally man, all of your hardwork and destroyed hardware is finally going to pay off. I hope this is the last video in this series because you have broken a lot of your tools, injured yourself and who knows what else happened behind the camera.
I've seen plenty of people claiming to be hard-core swordsmiths but they didn't do this sword justice whatsoever, except for man at arms. You are THE MAN.
I agree with everything you said, except for man at arms. Pretty Hate Machining has such an eye for detail and care for his projects. Man at arms got nothing on this absolute unit ❤
NO FECKING ONE have ever tried to make the Dragonslayer (as depicted).
Skinier, smaller, more "practical" versions.
Man at arms have made only Guts longsword.
It was too colossal of a task to even attempt it.
This man right here is the first, and is eating up over 6 months of work and a lot of resources and tools.
He's making history.
@@mego4698 well men at arms use mostly old school methods an they did make a good band of hawk sword of guts.
I've seen people claiming to have built a dragon slayer but it was nothing but a sick joke. This madlad right here has made pretty much 100% manga accurate dragon slayer. Make sure to let everyone know.
I appreciate the detour to go and search for a big spider.
But they are ambush predators, so it's just logical that they don't simply GIVEAWAY their position.
Well done, well done
all this bravery, patience and strength, put into.. just as a tribute, this is amazing. i hope you are doing well
It came! It finally came!
Another video, another piece of broken equipment, another giveaway comment. It's honestly pretty crazy how many machines have spontaneously failed during this project. I'm surprised you've got this up on your etsy for people to commission given how much trouble it gave you! Can't wait to see the finale.
While tapping that big thread, the bolt you used for a guide moved, it needed to be stationary to continue the thread line, hence it literally pulled itself apart! This build is amazing to watch by the way!
The size of the Berserk sword must have inspired that giant spiderweb.
It’s really amazing the determination you have for this project. After how many problems you’ve run into, and the fact that literally no one could even pick up the dang thing, I would’ve let this project fall to the wayside and keep telling myself “I’ll get back around to it.”
I commend your efforts in bringing to life the (probably) only true Dragonslayer in existence.
Thank you!
as a boilermaker, I can tell your work is done very good
giveaway , never expected anyone to actully try making this to scale, you are truly amazing brother
regarding the spiders: the mama took off long ago. the webs dripping off the light are sail webs from the babies.
Time to buy a flamethrower
"Two inches is pretty substantial for average human to hold" Yep, thats what I keep telling myself...
😁😁
when you complete it, you will get the achievement "creator of the legendary sword"
That spiderweb tangent was hilarious lmao
Demon spider in your garage. A scout of the Falcon of Light.
gotta attack its weak spot for massive damage.
Dude the commitment to finishing this masterpiece is appreciated by all us berserk fans great work
Makes a ghetto lathe AND touches the work piece when it's still hot. You really are channeling your inner Michael Cthulhu!
5:46-Well you have your self a decently heavy mace
this handle alone has enough material to make 3 real greatswords from it
thank you for making berserk fans dream come true, and for bringing Kentaro Miura's vision to life
those give-aways would make a funny gift to my brother
When you finish this sword you got to start making the berserker armor
Pass.
@@PrettyHateMachiningwill you keep doing the sword because it's been 2 months and there is no video. Please keep doing this.
That spider has ambitions. Also, your uninsulated storage space needs to be bug bombed if a spider can make a web that size, thinks it needs a web that size, and has dropped and egg sack and is still hunting. You have bugs living with your Corvette Sir!
Great that you have been still building this. The lathe is probably going to need the entire speed control looked over by an electrician. It had excessive current and likely voltages running through it and that causes damage to circuits. That's my professional opinion as an industrial electrician, but I am just some poster on the internet. At the very least, the wires need replacing and looking over. Most of boards are likely fine and the problem is in a single circuit on them, but the wires and connectors are going to need looking over and many of them need replacing since they are melted. You are a good operator for stopping it before the smoke came out.
I'm loving this series. All the ad-hoc engineering, the occasional humor, the workshop kitty, the giveaway of a chunk of metal, and most importantly the inexhaustible determination at the face of seemingly unending fate of failure and countless broken tools. Can't wait to see what this sword will be like in the end.
This the only dragonslayer build that has actually captured the full scale of the sword, others have tried to make it but its not fat enough to look like the dragonslayer, its literally just a big slab of metal thats sharp on both sides
It’s a weird notion to be excited at the opportunity to win a GIVEAWAY of off cuts, yet here I am at 1am watching this video and hoping I get picked.
Good thing you're making The Dragonslayer so you can deal with the spiders.
The spider apostle is hiding out in his garage
The finished piece is gonna be beautiful... thats a dead giveaway
You might be the most skilled bladesmith I've ever seen 🔥
11:12 Siegmeyer of Catarina join to the chat
So we need to say "Give away". To be honest, having proof that someone truly made the blade would he awesome.
I assume the Give away is over
It is not, I will announce the winner around the time I release the final part of the build
@@PrettyHateMachining @Pretty Hate Machining Cool! I love what you do man, I hope you make it big.
yaaaa, I'd rather be chased by someone with a knife than be sharing that garage with that spider.
Incredible work man. Miura would be so proud.
this shit better be worth a million dollar when its done
The amount of tools you broke using modern equipements to do this weapon really highlights how great of a blacksmith Godo was meant to be in the series
Your dedication to the project is astounding! I cannot wait to see this piece finished! If guts was a swordsmith I feel as if he would have the same determination to finish it as you do
You have the dedication of a legend.
Very generous with the giveaway of those chunks of steel... Can't imagine them being cheap to ship. 😅
I just remembered that Allen Pan did a video a while back where he wielded an anime sword by using an exo skeleton, and I thought that might be worth looking into for this sword...
Then I looked it up and the sword he wielded was only 44 lbs and he still struggled lol. The only thing that could maybe wield this is a modified car assembly robot or something like that haha
or that powerlifting priest.
At this point every time we go into a tripod shot I fully expect something to go wrong. Amazing mettle you have.
Can't wait till we've got cybernetic enhancements in 50 years, when that day comes I'm buying this off you
if you want to use a outside thread fully when created on a centre lathe , you need to "freecut" the very start of the thread because otherwise you cant fully screw the inside thread on
I think another good giveaway idea is giving Studio Gaga your other Berserk swords. Can you imagine?
The reason why the 1 inch die broke is because the spindle turned. If you transition from one thread to another then both have to be in fixed alignment. As in both have to be perfectly stationary.
If you want to do something like this again, then it would be easier to use a toolholder as a "flat reference" and the chamfer of the piece to center the die. (works best on drill presses as you can use the wheel/handle to keep pressure on the die)
Can’t wait for my sword to be done
That's one hefty GIVEAWAY! A nice piece of creator history.
That spider building a mansion lmao
You know you have a beast of a weapon when it's handle can be used as a mid/heavy weapon in its self .
Honestly I just want to participate in the giveaway for the sheer absurdity of the hunks of steel. Awesome work on the sword! Watching these videos is really cool.
GIVEAWAY man you're living the dream
I'll join the giveaway for kicks, but I've gotta say
I am so excited to see how the sword comes together in the end, this is genuinely so cool.
You are an actual legend for getting this to actually happen
amateur machinist here, that giveaway would be great!
Next episode the water jug slice, can't wait. XD
I want to see Shadversity check this out since he's going on a "giant sword" phase.
I love the work you are doin here but i got happy when i saw the C5 vette. shes gorgeous!
Thank you!
My workout goal rn is to be able to wield the dragonslayer, and once im strong enough to do that i just gotta get my hands on the dragonslayer
Piece of cake
stoked for this giveaway especially more stoked to see how this build turns out!
19:50 I think I would just burn my house down at that point
Giveaway!
Watching the process of you making this thing has been great! Thanks for bringing the Dragonslayer to life!
all in for a GIVEAWAY of piece of a Dragonslayer!
So I know it's gonna be pretty much impossible for anyone to swing this thing when it's finished, but we still need a testing video (somehow lol.) Maybe you could lean it up on something with a forklift and then push it over so the sharp side hits a pig carcass or something. Obviously take whatever safety considerations necessary, but otherwise I think it'd be a good showcase.
Hit the sword with a pig carcass instead at that point lol.
@@tellmeninetails5819 you *could* do that, but I’m curious how the actual weight of the sword falling would affect the strike.
giveaway. This is so hardcore, so much titanic work
GIVEAWAY
I started reading Berserk because of this series. It is now by far my favorite manga ever.
You're doing God(o)s work❤
Giveaway - Can't wait to see the sword once it's finished.
Giveaway!
I just finished reading berserk and watching you go thought this journey is insane. Were all impressed and rooting for this project!
Huge swords huge spiders.
Im still in for the ridiculous scrap *giveaway*
Amazing progress, thank you Goto
love when you were hmmming reminds me a lot of onion bro from the dark souls series haha
Exactly who I was trying to channel!
Giveaway
I can’t wait to see the finished build ❤
Giveaway. Can't wait to see the finished blade
Spider webs can get gigantic yeah :)
Man I got hella respect for you your really dedicated to making this hunk of steal even after messing up throughout the way. I love watching these videos man there intertaning asf hope all is well can’t wait for the next video on this thing
nice threads ! part 10 is gonna be schweet
That weird end is either from it being the end of a bar or possibly from the steel mill cold shear, depending on their process.
What a coincidence. I own the manga for that giveaway! I've been keeping my friend informed every video because he's a bezerk megafan. Love the build.
GIVEAWAY
I've been following this for ages and I am so excited to see what the results look like so much excitement is finally coming to a close can't wait!
The spiderweb segway was a nice touch 😂👍 did you ever find mama spider?
I did! I hid her under your bed
Giveaway? :V
Also i'm still loving this thing. It just keeps getting bigger, heavier, meaner and more ridiculous.
Giveaway? Bet. More berserk memorabilia
The only logical next step after this project is to make zabuza's executioner sword from Naruto
One shot giveaway!!!! For the glory giveaway!!!! With the strength of Guts the slayer of evil!!!!
You know I'm starting to think that this sword might be cursed in some way or manner
Giveaway.
Still have a hard time believing that handle will hold
you should try to get a sponsor to help fund this project
I've had two, currently trying to find one for the last portion of the build series but no takers yet
Now the real question is, who in part 10 could even wield this thing, and what sort of trees will they slice in one swing?
GIVEAWAY
cant wait to see the finished product, it looks amazing
It would be crazy to see this in action
Been following this for the last few months. Would love to put my books in those giveaway bookends if i can get a shelf to hold em. Lol
I like this thumbnail lol, very nice
I wouldn’t normally enter this type of thing but I need those chunks of steel in My life… GIVEAWAY !!!!
Goddammit....I want to see this now. Who The hell knows when "noon" will be tomorrow?
It's a mystery for the ages

Giveaway . Please sir, I don't have enough large lumps of steel in my life.
Now that's a damn shame.
Giveaway - Dreaming of this sword has always been my motivation to work out.
