- This hood was badly dented.
I didn't want to waste to much time fixing the hood, so I'm showing you the fastest way to get good "enough" results.
I removed the hood and beat with a sledge hammer as best as I could.
But there was still deep dents that I wanted to fill with a light foam filler, before adding a thin coat of bondo to the surface.
Another way to do this job faster included using UV filler putty for the final details before final sanding.

You might say "why not just replace the hood?"
This technique can be applied to the rear quarter panel for instance.
A quarter panel is a item that doesn't just bolt on. This was my first time trying this on a dent. Due to the lack of any other video showing this, I decided to video it and help others possibly.
Keep in mind I spent less than 15 minutes applying the foam the first day. The second day I spent less than 45 minutes applying Bondo, sanding, and painting.
The biggest time saver was using the UV Putty to do the final details after the one application of regular Bondi.
If you only have limited time and want to just get it done in one day. It's an option.
Would of went to junk yard and pick up a hood for like 50 bucks cheaper than what u spent doing this
When your friend gets too high and has a wild idea, but deep down you want to see if he’ll actually attempt it when he’s sober.
Can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter.
Are you serious? This has got to be a joke. What kind of idiot would do something like this??
Haha...no kidding!!! Ridiculous!!!
This has to be a wind up . 😮
As a qualified repairer this makes me sick. It's one step away from stuffing a hole with news paper. If you can't afford to pay someone to repair your car properly, there are far better methods you can do at home.
I thought he was going to fill it inside and the foam would expand and push the metal back in shape. What a horror job
That would have been cool if I had done it that way. the foam does have enough expanding force to do just that. The problem would be if it expanded the dent out too far.
i mixed bread dough in my kitchen aid and it filled out my dent nicely after baking in the sun. freaking birds ate my repair b4 i could lay the paint. freaking birds!!!!!
Smart strategy fixing the hood. Good job
whatever works for you is fine. my hood was rusted out at the front tip got one from a junkyard in great condition for 50. still have to paint it. body work is hard to get right w/o priming and painting the entire panel/hood. for diy
Nope that's called butchered way more than butchered. Wholy hell
Backyard bullshit
Thanks for the video. Very useful.
Brain dead
Engine knackered, cut square hole in floor, do flints tones. Save gas.
OK GREAT!!! Now the car looks like Charlie Chaplin.
Effing hack!
Be proud of the scars of life
LOL Thank you😂
Soom people should not be allowed to own cars got no respect for the privilege of owning one what a funking hack job 😢😢😢😢
Pure comedy
If that were me and I did that to my car and it turned out looking like that, I would be totally satisfied!!! Good job dude!!
I
this is a joke video
This is beyond stupid😮
Way to go.. teaching anyone who watches this a half asses hacked way to act like you’re repairing something. Nothing about this was proper. Idc if someone wants to do a cheap diy repair but atleast do it correct like for instance sanding before you put the foam down instead of drilling holes… matter of fact just leave it to the professionals homie
Wtf
Clearly not educated on how to do body work
Bs why would you that
