Hello from Australia! Yes we're sold by BYD... Just bought a Sealion 6 HEV hybrid electric SUV. We asked for a top model which was a premium with All-Wheel drive, plus all accessories, car tinted/protected in and out for just under $60,000 Australian dollars. We love it! While Tesla a pure EV will cost Aus$80,000 with less gadgets, which you'll have to pay separately, whilst BYD provides as standard even for their base model... It's just a no brainer!
Thanks for giving us a rundown of how advanced the Chinese cars are, and with such insane prices! It's an eye opener!
I guess we're so lucky we're able to get Chinese cars in Australia. Our friends in US were just so so jealous 😂

We are so lucky, BYD exports 3 models to 🇦🇺. My son, my niece and myself are driving BYD. My friends and relatives in Canada got so jealous😅.
BYD recently launched a new hybrid model in China, Qin L DM-i, 2100Km with one full tank😮.
Wish they will export more models to 🇦🇺.
There are many good EV brands in China, very advanced and good price. Unfortunately, they are not right side driving😢.

    Brazilian here.
I saw a BYD car for the first time earlier this year, now just a few months later I see BYD cars on a daily basis.
The cars are beautiful and so quiet. It comes in unique colours too. They are coming in strong here, but it is still very expensive though, I believe because they are coming from overseas.
But I think the price may drop in the near future. Ford had a huge plant here in Brazil but they closed and left a few years ago. BYD got the abandoned plant and is now adapting to start producing their cars in Brazil. So soon the cars will be produced nationally, no shipping required and will the bonus that they will be buying a lot of the feedstock locally, which will be huge for our economy. We are rich in most of the raw materials needed to build the cars and batteries. They gonna make electric + hybrid cars (ethanol/gasoline).

Hey! Welcome to China KSquared, Hope you have a pleasant time in China, Thirty two years ago, in 1992, Mr. Qian Xuesen, the Great Chinese Scholar, He proposed that China should directly skip the stage of gasoline powered vehicles and develop new energy directly, So, until today, all Chinese car brands and all Chinese fuel powered models are paving the way for the rise of new energy, and this journey has not been easy. In the past two years, there have been significant changes in China. Initially, Chinese brands were not favored in China, but now more and more people believe in and fall in love with Chinese brands. I am very proud to be a Chinese. Although my city is not very big, it still maintains cleanliness and good public security at all times. Huawei's EV system is known for it's EXTREMELY good capabilities for autonomous driving.
As far as I know, ALL cars with the Huawei system inside can :
    - Autonomously go and find parking by itself
    - And then park by itself
    - And then when you've finished your shopping, etc, you press a button on the Huawei app on your phone, the car will automatically turn on, leave the parking and come and find you!
So you don't even need to know where it was parked!!!

I predict that in less than five years, you will find a very outrageous one. Glad you mentioned ‘carbon neutral asap’, I suspect Europe and North America have forgotten about carbon neutral targets, the reality is that China alone produces 59% of the world's clean energy (including solar, wind and hydro etc.) in 2023, and surely more this year. And China's advanced battery technology makes electric cars really, really much more environmentally friendly than oil, and making the advanced batteries now doesn't produce some pollution as it did originally, which means that the spread of electric cars is really, really good for nature. I can't really get my head around what the G7 countries have actually done to become carbon neutral, and it almost seems like China is the only one that can be said to be serious about becoming carbon neutral at this point, which is frustrating to me. Thankfully there are still brothers in the world like you who remember that we should be carbon neutral as soon as possible.

It is the technology of these Huawei powered cars that would completely blow the minds of people in the West.
I've already explained this elsewhere in the comments section, but allow me to repeat it here :
Huawei's EV system has EXTREMELY powerful autonomous driving capabilities.

I drive a Geely (maker of zeekr and lynk and co) here in my country. They just entered our market 3 to 4 years ago and my geely sedan, in china, is used as a basic economy car and taxis but here, damn, they stomp on the equivalent sedans from established japanese brands. Body panels, fit and finish, design both exterior and interior, engine power etc. It really feels nice driving it. Feels luxurious. Even with a lot of china hate being pushed to the public (our president is a puppet of the US), lots of people are still buying them. Seeing more and more on the road.

Geely is good. It is not one of the emerging luxury brands in China, but it has some very good mid-range cars and some light luxury sub-brands. In the early days, it made some basic economic cars, but it grew very fast and acquired Volvo around 2010 and achieved further growth.

BYD launched a sedan called Seal 06 DMi. The basic model sold RMB ¥99,800 which is about USD $14,000.
The most impresive is its hybrid system equiped with all Seal 06 DMi model. It can do 2.9L gas per 100km which is 81.1 mile per gallon.

There's already a massive BYD factory under construction in Hungary. China is years ahead on EV cars, Better autonomy, Better selling prices even Mercedes and Volkswagen are buying chinese electric motors for their EV cars!

In Europe is no problem to buy chinese car like BYD, MG, Nio, Aiways, Lynk & Co., they are not ban. As well in the countries in Europe are not in the EU.The U.S. have imposed sanctions on China cars, that's the wrong way. I always was thinking the US proud of free market. The market will reguladet by its self. Many car manufacturers in the US and Europe produce all over what the customers wanted. China cars are simply a generation ahead of the cars from the US and Europe. That's why no country should impose sanctions on China, this country will lose. The competition will regulate this itself. The mix is the solution

You can buy MG cars, it was bought by a Chinese company, but the price will not be as cheap as in China because of tariffs, and Western countries do not want Chinese cars to be sold so expensive in their country, which will cause Western car companies to go bankrupt.
