An ex colleague of mine was a direct beneficiary of the fraud case Dr Boesak was a sacrificial lamb for. He (ex colleague) and others in ANC used funds for advancement of the liberation in SA. Governance and control systems were weak, but then again we were in a war, how on earth will you account for monies (and produce receipts) for people who went underground to join ANC (that was banned)? I think he was given a 15 jail sentence but was granted a presidential pardon. He spent less than 3 years in prison. ANC and it's government failed Dr Boesak. It lacked testicular fortitude and did not defend it's own. But then again, the same ANC under UDF, campaigned for Winnie Mandela to be sidelined in the ANC because of the accusation of the Stompie matter. ANC is rotten to the core. It's hopes for renewal were pinned on Ramaphosa. Lo behold, the very same thing it did in not having Zuma be held accountable over the Nkandla matter, it repeated the same over the Cryil Phala-phala matter. ANC is dead!

With this qualification people are refered to academics and you find most are lectures at universities - they also employed in the private sector . MD- Medical Doctor who study to PHD level and who are employed at universities are called professor who teach medical students . Although Dr Boessk is a reverend- he obtained the academic title Dr. When you have a PHD and you employed fulltime at a university you are called a professor.
