    These pups are amazing, i always put them in the neck and middle of my strats with a SeymourDuncan sl5(Gilmour sig pup) in the bridge. Amazing blues tones in the neck and neck and mid together and searing lead tones in the bridge with the sl5. Guitar tone heaven!!

    Just got a prewired pickguard with these installed. 1st 2nd and 4th positions sound fantastic! 3rd is good too but the bridge pickup is too weak and too quacky. I raised the pickup a little and while it increased the output. It still sounds weak.

    I recently swapped a set of 57/62's into my 2017 Elite, replacing the Gen4 Fender noiseless. The G4's are good pickups, in their own right, but lack some of the richer harmonics and have a more muted classic strat sound in positions 2 and 4 -- it's there, but it's less pronounced that what one might expect to find. The 57/62's brought the sonic character of that guitar squarely alongside the awesome build and feature set... from a very good strat to and outstanding one, imo. I can't speak to the new Ultra series and latest gen noiseless, but quite frankly the Elite would have been a better guitar right out of the box without the Gen 4 noiseless. Everything else about it is top notch, just the pickups which had a more or less dull personality vs. the better versions of Fender's own single coils like the 57/62's, Fat 50's, etc.

    • @JustSeby
      @JustSeby Год назад +2

      Yes, there would be. Squier pickups are usually darker because of the different magnets, wire, no. of turns and the inductance in the wires. But before changing pickups, try changing the pickup height and/or change the pots and see if you like that sound.

      I think they are the same, just rebranded. They’ve been around a while. American Original Strats and Teles released around 2018. I bet that’s why these PU’s may have been called Original 57/62’s. The last couple years it’s the American Vintage series of Teles and Strats with Pure Vintage PU’s by year. I think it’s just Fender rebranding after they discontinued the American Original line. Just a hunch.

      These are not RWRP, not even position calibrated (they all have exact same windings so any of the pickups can be installed in any position) but the cleans of this set is IMMACULATE. If you need distortion, it is almost imperative to have the pickup farther from the strings as placing them nearer will give you this harsh buzzing overtones.
