I think I accidentally learned how to ride like speedway racers when i was young. I lived in the country and a low part of our property was swampy almost all the time. My friends and I would ride our motorcycles there and it was just like the speedway. Sideways with our left foot sort of dragged behind to help balance you. I had a Suzuki RM125 (dirt bike) and that thing would shoot the mud out the back just like speedway when I was sideways. We soon learned how to do this on the dirt roads that we lived on. Sliding almost sideways around the corners, leaning to the inside and roosting all the way around. Great fun.

So that was 2001. I'd guessed the early 90s, judging from the the bloke's jacket. Very interesting indeed.
