I watched this tutorial 2 years ago as an introduction to Photoshop, and I can remember being so inspired by the craft that I decided to keep practicing. Now, with over two years of experience under my belt, I can watch this tutorial again and know exactly what you're doing and more. Thank you so much for the video! You helped me find my passion!
KoraLynne Hi! I hope it’s not too late to reply. I took a bunch of classes in high school that involved photoshop, but I also watched tutorials on how to do different things. I am still learning by the way! Photoshop is a big application, it just takes time and practice in order to get a hang of it. You can do it :)
Nice work Andhika Zanuar. One shadow you forgot, is the shadow from the bottom of the lantern, the shadow would be thrown to the ground under the lantern and it would appear quite dark in the grass!
Although you are not talking and saying WHY you are doing what you are doing, you show the results frequently by hiding and revealing the layer and that is very helpful. What I like most, is the speed at which you do things. I can see where you are clicking and understanding how to do things better than other videos I have watched. Subscribing right now.
Those who are saying light from the back should be fixed for your kind information its called cinematic effect where white light is deliberately fixed behind the subject in order to highlight it. Thank You
Technically - cinematic effect is adding a global BLUE light/tint to the scene. Back-lighting is the technique you are referring to and its used in photography as well as cinematography, when a single light source is not enough to see the subject in the scene, just sayin...
Love you BROTHER Fan ho gaya me app ka SERIOUSLY app ne step to step everything Details batai he shortcut keys ka use nahi kiya Har chiz clear samaz me aai he Is Ki liye Dill se Thanku So Much BROTHER
Wow, there is so much to learn from this little video. Thanks .I don't know these effects. Now, I understood. Thanks for the noble deed once again and keep uploading.
I've been messing with photoshop for quite some time and this is the first that I stumble on that actually shows how to very easily see how to using each editing feature and how it can be used in a quick study.
Is the lighting on the head (specifically the face area) correct? It just seems like it doesn't belong with the setting. I don't know much about lighting and stuff so I might be wrong, but you know that feeling you get when something is off but you can't put your finger on it? That's what I get when I look at the head.
It looks like the light that is splashing over his head and shoulders come out of nowhere. It is not consistent with the background light (not in direction nor temperature), it's more like a light that comes from above, but the source of that light is missing. However, is a nice composite but I personally preffer how he looks with the shield hanging on his back. It gives him a more warrior look instead of that missing lumberjack look.
Yeah backlighting on his head looks kind of hard and the lighting implied by the fog is very soft so it does look slightly off; however, very good work other than that I think it looks great.
Thank you bro..... just became a fan of you no words for your talent just amazing bro just tried your edit and i got it all right thank you so much i will suscribe you and keep in touch with your unnbelievable editzz
Great result and good video - but this is *not* a good tutorial. You are showing the whole process of manipulating of this image (which is still very well done), but not exactly what is important when adding light effects to images in photoshop. Not very helpful for beginners. So the title is a little bit disappointing, but you did a good job on editing anyway :)
thankyou so much. improvement of the image at the final stage takes a long time and it's about the pleasure of the color process, because someone has a different color selection. so I give a tutorial on the core and a simple color processing. I hope you understand :)

Sorry dude. Seems like a great tut, but I HATE these music only tuts. Stop the music, and tell us what you are doing and why! Yo
thankyou. Please turn off the song when it's annoying. :)
he wants a voice tutorial :) and i agree with him
He's right. In my opinion it's not a tutorial if you don't tell/explain why you're doing something
He's probably not an english speaker, hence the lack of naration.
I like it how it is, a good choice of music, a great little lapse, very nice.

at intermediate level, this is just right, the whole process is killing over other video on Utube.. liked and sub :D
