Love the first video! How do you integrate the mixpre10. I’m assuming it’s a backup, but I’ve always wondered how people route to be able to use both at the same time. Thanks so much! Can’t wait for part 2
Great question! In this case I was using the MixPre as a completely separate recorder - I’ll go into detail about it in the next part. But basically I was recording simultaneously with the 664 - the MixPre was recording dedicated crowd atmos tracks - I had 4 mics setup along the edge of the field kinda like 2 pairs of stereo mics recording the width and breadth of the crowds boos and cheers etc. In terms of using it in conjunction with the 664, everything was jammed with timecode - the 664 was the master clock and everything else was slaved to its timecode: all the cameras and the MixPre. The theory is that in post they should be able to sync everything up precisely!

hey great video what could u write what was the long shoot gun mic you use and how you got the sound mixer to have the track name come up to the side like that I have a 688 and I like how it look at do it for my shoots
