The other day I put a show on TV and picked up my phone to open Pinterest while I waited for the show to get through the intro credits. On my front page was an image of a winged horse on top of a building, and I opened it because I thought it seemed unusual. Why put a winged horse on a house? Why would it be there? Then I glanced up from my phone, and on the TV was a winged horse on top of a building at the exact same second, in what would turn out to be the only few seconds in the entire season where you'd see a winged horse at all. The coincidence of the timing gave me chills.
The next day the tarot channel I watch often had a huge, prominent winged horse in its thumbnail, and now I just watched ANOTHER reading with a completely different tarot deck, and a winged horse has appeared again. The fourth in 2 days. I googled Pegasus when I started seeing this horse, and was surprised to learn Medusa is his mother. I've designed Medusa art in the past and have always felt drawn to her as a story or character. Now I'm here trying to figure out what it's all supposed to mean, so thank you for this video!

i've long been called to both medusa and pegasus. only recently have i realized their mythological connection. thank you for the deeper look into these stories. i do ruffle at the concept of her being a willing participant, but the rest of the lens you speak from is quite illuminating.

Like most myths, the story shows up in different ways. Follow whichever one resonates with you! :)

In the fixstar birthchart I represent this princes and I feel always that after she is saved by Perseus and married him, she have to lower her high self, not really happy married, because she gets lots of attacks,,,.., if you understand what I mean? All her living lifes, she always missed the Dolphin .

Thank you I have seen Pegasus quiet often through my life one of which is on the Steve miller album cover for the song abracadabra and as for Medusa I come from a town in the Uk called Bath and the gorgons head represents Bath and the symbol is used everywhere , also Bath is named after the Roman Baths that are here where the romans and probably earlier worshipped a goddess called sulis Minerva who is Athena in Greek mythology 😉 Plus I love the Perseus story ☺️ and the symbology has always been part of my life 💯 within the city is also Masonic architecture which is built into the city and represents the sun the moon and a key , very interesting city 😉 there was actually a temple on the site dedicated to sulis Minerva/Athena in the early Roman times so is part of Baths history , thanks for the vid 🙏🏻💯

I SO luv your painting. Thank you.
What type of crayons are those? They don't look like the usual watercolor pencils.
I watched it 3times lol. Sooo calming to see you paint while listening. This is a wonderful way to communicate important messages, Ona. Appreciation.
Also, if you dont mind - Anyone else here is free to comment as well. Thank you.
I had a dream about 2 horses with carriage, coming in very fast. It stopped at a villa of sorts. It fejt familiar. Was late night, pitch black and pouring. Both horses and carriage all black. They almost skied to halt, so fast.
I could just about see someone going to jump out of the carriage. I felt the movement. But they did not in the dream.
Also it looked fancy. Like the type of horses and carriages that rich people of olden days, would have used for important business. Maybe a doctor? Maybe important news (messanger) about death/illness?
Maybe it somehow ties in with THIS video, and I can't see it?
If you/anyome have ideas, I would appreciate your comments.

Ooh, there's a lot to uncover in that dream! You might want to try journaling about it. Also you can ask your guidance to clarify. Ask for the message to be given to you in a way that is easier for your conscious mind to grasp.
The crayons are Aquarelle Neocolor II artist's watercolor crayons. I love them! :)

This video is incredibly informative and illuminating! I haven’t found another video on RUclips that comes close to the depth you are providing in terms of the archetypal symbolism and how we can work with the mythology to learn about our own journeys as they relate to the life of Pegasus. Thank you so much for creating and sharing this inspiration! Your painting really captures the essence of Pegasus as the Divine Feminine aspect!! So beautiful. I have to ask… were you in fact speaking to us AS you were painting?!! 🤯🤯🤯 🧠 🎨 🐴 🪶

Thank you, Joanna - glad you enjoyed it! As I recall, I recorded that one separately from the painting. I've done them simultaneously in the past but I think it works better this way. :)

I came here looking for some insight into Pegasus and was sadden to have you open with the idea of the progress of the human soul. That we should just brush any pesky thoughts that we had regarding women having full status in the societies in which they live, no matter the time period. Do you view the fact that in Afghanistan women are no longer able to go to school now as “progress”? Something that Afghan society needs to go through? Do we really seem so spiritual advanced in out civilization as we continue to go full throttle in polluting the environment and destroying species? I do not believe in progress but in endless cycles.
During the time that the Medusa myths were being rewritten. Greece was in a significant transitional phase. It was then end of the Archaic Age and the beginning of the Greek Classical period. The Greeks were turning away from the influences of the great goddess religions and their society was metamorphosizing into a strict patriarchy. Women's status got worse, and laws on gender segregation were implemented. By 467 BC, Greek playwright Aeschylus wrote "let the women stay at home and hold their peace." The Greeks during this time were particularly distancing themselves from the ancient Egyptian, religious, social mores which were now seen as decadent. Sex in the temple was no longer seen as sacred and something that must be punished. Terrible tales and warnings for a new time.
I suggest that Medusa was an ancient sun goddess. Her name is from the same root as that of Medea, a word meaning “to know” or “to measure” suggesting her rulership over mind and time. The fact that her soul flies as Pegasus might indicated she is one of the oldest European symbols of women’s spirituality.

What relation does the pegasus have with the unicorn? Thank you

    • @ArtOfAwakening
      @ArtOfAwakening  2 года назад +1

They both are higher frequency variations on horse energy. Both represent purity. To me, Pegasus is more about freedom and the power to move forward with one's soul purpose. Unicorn has a lot to do with innocence, and protecting the innocent, and also healing.

Didn’t Poseidon rape medusa and then she went to Athena for help and she turned her away and turned her into a snake and a creature so that no one will look at her again because she was her handmaiden and cursed her with heaven Pegasus as well
