Eye-watering price for that guitar in my country! So tempted to get a hybrid like that
Cool! That is an awesome looking and sounding guitar!! Sweet playing!
Thanks!
THANK YOU AARON !! Just had an email mine arrives next week 😊 instant response to my request to show us the guitar. Looks like a donation heading your way 👍
Thank you. Your request did prompt me to show it off!
@@aaronshortmusicanother coffee if you give us an EV 8 update !!,😊
As usual, your video is much appreciated! I‘ve watched all of those available on this guitar so far, and none of the others properly demo the individual tonal settings (with all pickup settings). The only one that comes close uses distortion a lot, and that clouds the picture. Back to your video: As more of a Tele than a Strat guy, I‘m gonna wait for the SSS version of this to materialize (with 3 single coils), and preferably in the new Sunburst, which to my eyes is a more harmonious fit to the overall aesthetic. That said, I‘m curious to know if you could envision replacing your current Cole Clark with this one, or whether you still prefer the acoustic tone of your current one, and if so, why? Background to this question: I am mainly an acoustic guy who just wants to throw in some electric then and again for added textures, or to thicken up the sound a bit. So I‘m not keen on sacrificing acoustic tone too much, though having electric as well is very, very tempting. So I‘m hoping the SSS version of this might fill the bill. At least it‘s amplified acoustic tone sounds more convincing to me than, say, an otherwise brilliant Emerald Guitars X10 Slimline costing about the same with a few extras like fretboard dot inlays. Especially after you (very kindly!) remembered to switch off the low-cut filter on the acoustic pickup, the guitar sounded very much more like an acoustic to me - more so than any other hybrid I‘ve ever heard. Can you confirm that in your experience? Sorry for all the questions, but maybe somebody else here will also benefit from them. P.S.: I interesting found that the SSS version being offered for pre-order on Reverb (from Canada) has 11-gauge strings on it instead of 10-gauze like on yours - apparently due to the SSS rather than HSS configuration.
They recently switched to .10 gauge. I am still performing with my Angel 2, not because it necessarily sounds better but because I enjoy performing with a larger guitar. It's worth noting that I am 6'5!
@@aaronshortmusic Thanks for clarifying about the switch to 10s. Indeed, that was meanwhile confirmed to me by their very friendly and responsive CEO. Big thanks, too, for explaining how your physical size (wow!) also plays into your preference for a „real“ acoustic guitar. I‘m only 5 ft 11, so don‘t mind having a slimmer stage guitar.
@@scottbecker3485 Yeah I am also used to it which I always say has to factor into these things.
Hey Aaron,
I just bought an Angel 2! Loving it! However, I'm not digging the wood lute hole cover (feedback buster) I put in mine. Do you use the traditional rubber sound hole cover for yours? Having trouble finding one like that that's the right size.. Any info would be appreciated thanks so much!
I don’t like the wood ones either. Get a rubber one and stick a strip of Velcro to it all around the edge (the soft side). Works perfectly.
@@aaronshortmusic Great idea! Thanks so much for the quick reply
Love the demo and very interesting. Curious how it compares to similar models from Godin, Fender, Taylor, etc.. Nice looking guitar and technically fascinating but I have to wonder how many people are actually in the market for a guitar of this type though? It is a limited market IMO.
Just an unsolicited idea for content. Styron Cloudburst. I recently tried this with my acoustic at a guitar store and was blown away. I have a feeling we will see a saturation of acoustic players using this pedal and plenty of copies of it. It will be like Chorus was in the 1980s. IMO it will be a trend that will come and go and then take up a standard operating position in guitar toolkits of occasional use.
I agree it is a ‘specialist’ guitar but they also make a thinline without the magnetic pickups for less money which I think will apply to acoustic-only players.
This thing is more than 3K, but I like it more than Acoustasonic. Maybe it’s time to earn some money and try it somewhere. Thanks for video.
Maybe introduce the name of THIS guitar brand and model in your intro title...and not 10 minutes into the video? It's not very polished if people have to hunt for the name.
If you’re going to be rude then I’d rather you didn’t watch…
@@aaronshortmusic NOTE: (I replaced the word "savvy" with "professional.") Aaron, an objective observation was made. There was no intention of being rude. You can refute it or agree with it. It's that simple. I would like to think that any RUclipsr would take into consideration their viewers' comments, and look at it from another perspective. I'm a subscriber after all, right?
@@nayanjittilak2584 OK fair enough. Showing the guitar was a spontaneous idea. I will title the video with the name of the guitar. Thanks for the suggestion.
@@aaronshortmusicAtta boy! Keep up the good work otherwise.
