Well, you'll be bombarded with tons of requests from the Phils or from Filipinos. I can tell you you'll not be disappointed. Even non-artists can sing, contestants are also good and even kids. Take your time, coz there'll be more surprises. Just saying not to brag, just proud. Love your channel!
I was also in HS when this came out but I NEVER HEARD Mariah's version by herself, I only heard the version when Boyz II Men did the collab. It has been covered several times since but I think this particular cover is THE BEST cover of this song EVER. If somebody can do better, it won't be for another 30 years and they will need electronic help. These nice people did the song real justice. The original vocalists would be proud of this performance. Can't deny.
Katrina Velarde has some videos on her RUclips channel where she impersonates other vocalists (I bring this up because Kat was REALLY channeling Mariah in One Sweet Day). In the third such video, she covers the song Burn by Ellie Goulding. You GOTTA check that one out, you will be floored and flummoxed! She's AWESOME!

No disrespect to Mariah and Boyz ll Men. This is the best version period imo. For me, this is slightly better than the original.
If Boyz 2 men, and Mariah hear and sees this version, , i don't think they will be offended by what you said, i think they'll agree too that this is one of the best covers, but i just don't about better than the original though, but i guess they'll listen to it several times over and decide if you are correct though. But i think your just being honest of what you've heard and thinking after hearing the cover of this song.

@@sinhnguyen8135 I personally would not say that the cover is better than the original, I don't like making comparisons/ contrasts like that. I prefer to just relax and enjoy.
Remember, the original required innovation before it even became a song, specifically because it was the original and had not been done to death. This cover is almost thirty years behind the original and so the other covers have influenced this, and live performances have altered the song's presentation slightly. little tweaks here and there. Basically, if the song was written today, it would be different than it was written back then.
There is no denying the sheer talent and skill of these four amazing vocalists. But what happens if they write an original song together and Mariah covers it? :)

This is an amazing cover.....almost better than the original...Sadly...Katrina just lost her husband, American producer, Mike Shapiro , last week. They had just been married a year and he was 57. The guys perform as a group called , BuDaKHEL ( letters from the first names) Khel ( first singer , Bugoy ( 2nd) and Daryl (last) Their harmonies are stunning......and include Katrina often.......check out their , Heaven ( Bryan Adams) cover.

Nice, awesome reaction guys. The trio of Michael Pangilinan, Bugoy Drilon and Daryl Ong are Filipino masters of riffs and runs, and they really do pack a wallop and shuffles when they sing. Suggest you listen to their cover of "Heaven" by Brian Mcknight. While Katrina has indeed a well gifted voice where angels only do have. They have another collb which you can listen to, i.e., "Thank God I found you".

One thing is for sure guys you'll be needing a lot of time I mean "A LOT OF TIME" just to react to all good and great filipino singers with every single one they did and made a cover. I don't need to tell you if you guys agree that when it rained with singing talents all filipinos are outside of their homes catching every inch they can get.
