Hi Dave, good luck with your venture into the world of golf. You are doing the best thing by getting lessons sooner rather than later. I'm sure a PGA Professional will get you on the right track. He will, I am sure, advise you to get custom fitted clubs as you are so tall you will need extra long shafts in all your clubs to help with a consistant strike.
