This is the best, most wonderful music I have heard in quite sometime.I was fortunate enough to see them live on, Cruise to the Edge...and they were incredible...sound just like this!! Love the vocals!! John Young is a force now with incredible writing. Thats just my opinion ! Add Frosty on drums Nikky Boy on bass and chap-stick...Van Leer on Flute, i Loved Focus back when...Steve Hackett as a guest...come on..WOW ! go buy this right this second, i promise, you wont be dissappointed !!
Where am I in this space, this has been the question that thinking humans have chased through time and maybe one day we will find out and complete our journey.
First I have heard of them. Came here because they are a band on the Cruise to the Edge cruise I want to go on in November 2015. Never heard of them so I decided to check them out. My opinion: I am impressed. Very melodic. Great use of keyboards with an old feel to them, almost Melotron-ish in sound, but obviously much more advanced. Great composition, very reminiscent of Yes, with a little Moody Blues thrown in. Production values are very good. It has a really good sound quality, a deep feel to it. That is what attracted me to Prog Music back in the 70s, not that I knew it was prog music.
@TXGUNNER, you summed it up well. I was born in 1961 and was a complete prog rock and prog jazz/rock fan starting at the age of 11 when I heard Yes Fragile and ELP Trilogy for the first time. This is a fantastic group.
Saw these at Faiprort's Cropredy Covention (August 2016). Superb. Like another commentator, I haven't been so moved since Genesis and Yes. I am now in possession of 'Live in London - Under the Bridge'' signed by the band. They were a good laugh too, and very approachable and down to earth.
Maybe the best album of 2013... It sounds so fresh and yet rooted in influences from some great progressive rock artists from Yes, Genesis and Pink Floyd to less famous UK... in spite of the references here and there (here, I hear a tiny bit of a melody in "Time" by Pink Floyd, although the rest has got nothing to do with this track), John Young composed something really original with his own imprint. The vocals are so finely crafted.
I had never heard about this great band, comments on Garden Shed brought me here: I am so very grateful, a wonderful discovery for me, and a new fan for you. Cheers, Rose 🌹
Oh, how so very kind of you. Thank you for the moments of grand beauty and please rest assured, as long as you keep progging on, we will be listening on. Take good care, Rose🌹
I did like the second album Cardington better overall. But this is probably their best song. It does have a lot of that Ambrosia, 10cc, or Soft Progressive Rock sound that would dominate the upcoming album.
Yes, beautiful music, however, Apple Music doesn’t have their music, the band exists in Apple Musicland, but no music. I had to google them to find their music. Love the music.
Always a pleasure to listen to Nick Beggs
And this....is why I love music
This Lyrics are awesome! One of the best Song I ever heard! 👏 Respect!

Don't hesitate going on the Cruise. The BEST music venues you will ever experience. Indoors great. .Outdoors with the sun setting - incredible.

Super.groupe.
Well done.
Very accomplished, I really like this.
Great stuff guys - looking forward to the new album. Not always keen on direct comparisons, but has a nice 'Yes' feel to it! x
Better not to compare anyway, it means they are original ! :o))
The recording industry is so hard on these bands, too difficult to make a living........
