The best part of any good OCRemix is what the remixer does when the piece "goes off the rails" and starts riffing on the source material rather than covering it straight, bridging back to the recapitulation at the end, and from 1:35 to 2:53, this is a perfect example of that done gloriously right. Up there with WillRock's doing the same thing on "Apollo Duck" as my all-time favorites.
This is one for the ages. Now have this remixer do a stage 1 theme like this.

The Funk Knight Rises.
It's a strangely upbeat tune considering its from a Batman game......
I swear I can hear cheering off in the distance (not really).....
In fairness, the NES Batman themes were quite upbeat considering the game was based on the Tim Burton/Michael Keaton movie.
When listening to this, it's easy to imagine Batman and assorted bad guys suddenly starting to dance as if in a musical.

The Adam West series is just as upbeat.
This is straight up a homage to the Adam West series, which was considerably more groovy. You can even hear similar horn hits to the Adam West theme song at 2:44.
