I always wondered, why didn't Toys for Bob use N-Sane Cortex's model as 96 Cortex? N-Sane Trilogy's cutscenes are used in Crash 4, so why not? This is how the cutscene should have looked in the final game, well done :)
This looks very good. Some reason I'm not really a big fan with a few of the N Sane trilogy designs. I like them but the lighting issues and the weird fur textures made them look bad in some places. But NST Cortex looks so good with the crash 4 animations and lighting. Which got me curious on what it would look like if you ported Dingodile's NST or CTR NF model over to One of the Crash 4 Dingodile Cutscenes.
this makes a lot more sense especially since they reuse the opening cutscene for crash 1 from the n-sane trilogy at the end of his second fight. I get why they kept past cortex's design the same as moder cortex's though, his n-sane trilogy design would be very tacky in the Crash 4 style but if they didn't want to do that they could've at least remade the experiment failure on crash rather than just reusing assets

I'll still mad that they didn’t recreate the opening to Crash 1 with the new models, they could’ve just changed up the models slightly for that one scene instead of reusing the N Sane Trilogy footage, more importantly though, they could’ve had Clancy Brown reprise his role as Cortex for the 1996 Cortex, but, they had Lex Lang do it, which doesn’t even fit the past version of Cortex, Past Cortex is meant to be more calm and feel like a threat, but, they decided to be lazy. Ranting aside, I like the idea of having Cortex try and go back to 1996 to stop his past self from creating Crash in the first place, trying to prevent the events of Crash Bandicoot 1, and by extension, the entire series, it gives a nice excuse to have the final world in the game be set in the year that the first game was released in and technically the same year that the first game was set.
Truly I am surprised though I get why they just copied the model but they should have had the assets to use the trilogy version of him well at least mods exist
Did you have to edit the video to get both models into this cutscene? I assumed that the game uses the same model for the both of them, and luckily they never overlap each other in the either way.
In the original Crash 4 game, when Cortex travels back in time to 1996, the year the first Crash game was released, past Cortex and present Cortex are identical. This wouldn't be a problem, but at the end, they show a cutscene from Crash 1 Remastered, showing that just after present Cortex was defeated, we get the intro from Crash 1 where past Cortex decides to get help from past Crash but he escapes, and present Crash was responsible for the brainwashing machine failing to work on past Crash. The issue here is that when they reused the cutscene, past Cortex looks different than past Cortex in the new cutscenes, did he just changed designs in a few seconds?
