Its just the beginning for you! This is when Su-Metal(Lead) was 16, Yui-Metal(left) & Moa-Metal(right) were 14yrs old. Su is 22now and Moa 20. Yui left the band ending 2018 due to health issues & pursue a solo career. Su & Moa still keeping it real. These girls and the band work there asses off!!!!

Must have been a great moment for them. Unfortunately, the outstanding guitarist who played this solo died in January 2018 at age 36 after having fallen from an observation platform while stargazing. They're so much fun. It's weird because one of their biggest criticisms is their biggest strength: they don't write and arrange their own music. They have 30 fantastic songs that are all different. There is no other way that could happen. Their songs are different from each other because they're written and arranged by different people.
Also, behind all that wall of guitar and drums, there is a dose of joy and humour in it that defies the serious headbanger analyzers and gatekeepers who very much like to determine what is "real" metal.

The official statement from both Yui and their management company Amuse Inc. is that she had to take time out due to illness and eventually decided to leave the band to persue her own dreams and solo projects. She is currently still listed as being under management by Amuse Inc.
The live performances are so delightful to watch because the crowd is into the show 100% with the band. It warms my heart to see these ladies getting that much support from that large of a fanbase. Also for this song in particular during the quiet parts, Su's vocals are really haunting.
fun fact : BABYMETAL is the first band that destroy all the door from Japan to the west music audience and Metal World. most people from outside Japan have heard 2 or 3 band to none from Metal genre but since Babymetal broke the door , now many band from Japan have gain more fans outside their country.

Nobody does what Babymetal does as well as Babymetal does. They basically invented a new metal sub-genre. :-) Not many can deliver such energy. Energizer Bunnies is what they are. :-) Imagine being at a show for an hour or 1 and half of that, you'll have a hard time getting back home because of being exhausted. LOL Babymetal shows it all comes together, the heavy music, the performance of the girls (young ladies now), the musicianship, the showmanship, etc. but the best part is when the audience is into it. Then it all goes up a notch. Like "go up to 11 !"

I am a Metalhead since i was 8 years old right now I have 32 years, 24 years listen to heavy music and i never see something like this! Babymetal became my favorite band period... But the funny or sad thing is that the first time a listen to them was in the 2014 and was gimme chocolate... And i was like ught WTF is this!!! This is f#@%ing wrong!! I was a fool... I first heard Doki Doki on the internet, found it funny but thought it was just another weird shit from Japan. Then when Karate released, again found it cool, but I didn't regard them as a real heavy metal band. Just this pandemic, I accidently fell into the foxhole, and listened & learned everything about the band, and oh boy how wrong have I been. These 3 girls (now amazing women) + the Kami band are metal AF. Most annoying thing is, I was supposed to see them in 2020, but COVID happened.
If you think watching their videos is intense. You need to see them live. I was lucky enough to catch one of their US tours in Austin. Seeing them live is on a whole different level!

Watching them do both Painkiller and Braking the law at the Alternative Press event in 2016 was amazing. The rest of Babymetal set was on point. Another good j-metal group is Ningen Isu. I highly recommend them.

So much so, I drove to St Paul, MN to see them last September in a 1200 capacity club & then in October, flew to LA to witness their first ever USA arena show. All-female metal bands in Japan is a happening thing and there are many that are freaking awesome, Band-Maid, Lovebites, Bridear, Aldious and so on are my all-time favorites
The girls from Band Maid are world class. (I have more than a small crush on MISA) Do you think Aldious sounds better with Re:No or not? Doll$boxx and Mary's Blood are another two great bands.
as an added kick, this was so successful, suzuka nakamoto started a record label to help others get into the genre mixing scene like babymetal did. how many other people start labels when they're 20? and are well regarded across the globe to boot.
this is a song about turning 15 and experiencing more mature things . when the little girls turned 15 they each were given the oppertunity to sing the lead on this song ' this has happened each year up til now just changing the age they celebrate in the song
There a lot of good things you can still look at Babymetal Death is basically an instrumental with theatrics Any of Su’s solo songs like Rondo with the intro Moa and Yui also have songs just for them that are intentionally hard songs like sis anger Ijime, Dame Zetti at the sonic sphere is a fan favorite Etc
You keep mentioning the band. They are called "Kamiband" And they themselves are the equivalent of a super group put together just to support the girls. Each member of the band has a regular gig in other bands/teaching positions around the country. And they rotate out as needed depending on scheduling.
Yeah it's a huge effort by a lot of people to pull this all off. The band, the girls, their producer koba and the people who write and arrange their songs all deserve a ton of credit. Their talent agency who signed these girls when they were 10 years old and surrounded them with talented producers.

It didn't get played for a while, so when they played it on their US tour last year we were all happy to see it. I caught them in DC and it was easily the best show I've ever been to in my life, and I'm a 40 year old metal head. There are so many bands who are just absolutely terrible live. They never sound even close to as good as on their recordings. BABYMETAL is not like that. They consider themselves more performing artists than recording artists, and they are ALWAYS better live! There is so much you get out of their live shows you could never hope to even dream of getting from their albums. Su's amazing near flawless live vocals, Moa and now the avengers choreo performance, the Kami Band's metal mastery, the energy from the crowd, it's electrifying...

I don’t know if you have been requested to check out Meshugga “Bleed” live but I would highly suggest it. Long and Windy Road 5. Dive Waggakiband Songs 1. Kishikaisei 2. Hoshizukiyo 3. Senbonzakura 4. Ikusa Waggakiband uses modern instrument la with traditional Japanese instruments as well. The lead singer is amazing. For Man with a Mission reminds me of Linkin Park and have strong lyrics.

Some of my faves from Babymetal are Distortion and Megistune. But you will probably get a blast out of most of their songs. If you are going down this route, I can't recommend Senbonsakura by Wagakki enough. It's got a similar vibe to it.

To be fair and unbiased, Su is main force in the band, they have now few girls that replaces Yu on shows. But leading force of the band is Suzuka.

I first heard Doki Doki on the internet, found it funny but thought it was just another weird shit from Japan. Then when Karate released, again found it cool, but I didn't regard them as a real heavy metal band. Just this pandemic, I accidently fell into the foxhole, and listened & learned everything about the band, and oh boy how wrong have I been. These 3 girls (now amazing women) + the Kami band are metal AF.
Most annoying thing is, I was supposed to see them in 2020, but COVID happened.

If you think watching their videos is intense. You need to see them live. I was lucky enough to catch one of their US tours in Austin. Seeing them live is on a whole different level!

Watching them do both Painkiller and Braking the law at the Alternative Press event in 2016 was amazing. The rest of Babymetal set was on point. Another good j-metal group is Ningen Isu. I highly recommend them.

So much so, I drove to St Paul, MN to see them last September in a 1200 capacity club & then in October, flew to LA to witness their first ever USA arena show. I was like a teenage girl @ a Beatles concert. Keep them coming. Once again though, I have to stand strong & not subscribe until I hear some Band-Maid from you. Puzzle, live.
The great thing is that Japan has a thriving metal scene. And female fronted\all girl bands are all the rage, with older bands riding the hype and newer bands killing it. All-female metal bands in Japan is a happening thing and there are many that are freaking awesome, Band-Maid, Lovebites, Bridear, Aldious and so on are my all-time favorites
The girls from Band Maid are world class. (I have more than a small crush on MISA) Do you think Aldious sounds better with Re:No or not? Doll$boxx and Mary's Blood are another two great bands.

You keep mentioning the band. They are called "Kamiband" And they themselves are the equivalent of a super group put together just to support the girls. Each member of the band has a regular gig in other bands/teaching positions around the country. And they rotate out as needed depending on scheduling.
Yeah it's a huge effort by a lot of people to pull this all off. The band, the girls, their producer koba and the people who write and arrange their songs all deserve a ton of credit. Their talent agency who signed these girls when they were 10 years old and surrounded them with talented producers.
They are really a super group, it's like if at the time they made sure to hire the best metal musicians of each respective instrument in japan

Hi Jamel_AKA_Jamal! Great reaction! I think "Headbanger!" is probably my second favorite BABYMETAL song. It's about a girl going to her first metal concert on her 15th birthday. It didn't get played for a while, so when they played it on their US tour last year we were all happy to see it. I caught them in DC and it was easily the best show I've ever been to in my life, and I'm a 40 year old metal head. There are so many bands who are just absolutely terrible live. They never sound even close to as good as on their recordings. BABYMETAL is not like that. They consider themselves more performing artists than recording artists, and they are ALWAYS better live! There is so much you get out of their live shows you could never hope to even dream of getting from their albums. Su's amazing near flawless live vocals, Moa and now the avengers choreo performance, the Kami Band's metal mastery, the energy from the crowd, it's electrifying...

Metal is in good solid souls.
Some of my faves from Babymetal are Distortion and Megistune. But you will probably get a blast out of most of their songs. If you are going down this route, I can't recommend Senbonsakura by Wagakki enough. It's got a similar vibe to it.
