That’s me eating & slurping happily away in the background ! What a good moment to watch Zermatt in action !! Yup, the broth is really good and so is the har cheong kai 😋
1. OMG! I heard Zermatt speaking "thanks" in Chinese twice. So, do you speak Chinese as well? 2. This place is quite pricey. I saw on their menu that a small noodle bowl cost $14. One of their menu items cost as much as $58. Zermatt, I know that you had a very savory experience, but do you feel that the food is worth that price? 3. Burping after eating is usually caused by eating or drinking too fast, or talking while eating. Take it easy, Zermatt. This is not a competition. We would rather see you enjoy the food safely more than anything else. Great content. Thanks for sharing!👍👍
i just love how this guy eats, unlike other competetive/challenge eaters -he doesnt show that dramatic struggling face when he's full. u wont even know if hes struggling with a bigass food servings
Wa my favorite haemee 🦐 🦐 🦐..very dangerous to watch this after midnight..i can just imagine the taste of the noodles 🍜 & the rich broth ..major laonuah 😋 🤤 🤤 🤤 and now i can't sleep 😂
The orange color soup immediately tell me it got to have penang influence. In Penang, prawn noodle is called Hokkien Mee and the "chilli" or sambal is added into the soup. Every ingredients in the bowl = Penang hokkien mee 😊 I will give it a try soon… thanks for sharing.
WOW !! Looked absolutely delicious , but me I'm a broth person , I always take the juices or broth of whatever I cook and eat the rest of the contents later , I take out the broth for myself so I can add spices to my dish , turmeric curry hot chili pepper black pepper ginger garlic and soy sauce , did you have time to digest your food before you done the challenge with Joel ? You both done great , look forward to checking out your videos, yesterday was the first time I saw you when you did the challenge with Joel ❤❤, watching from Volos Greece
Looks so yummilicious. I loved prawn noodles. I believe it would be just as yummilious if they use Tanghoon. When the Tanghoon soaks up the tasty broth Wow.
It’s delicious when I had them there, lobster, prawn mee; fried, dry or soup version, all nice. Kudos to My daughter, kohaibi, who treated me to this expensive but delicious birthday meal!
The specialty of prawn noodles is that the taste may vary depending on where you try it. Each time I try it in new places and restaurants, the anxiety surely kicks in just to taste it, but not all of them taste good, I must say. 😅😂
at 22:20 the auto CC caught it as porn noodle instead of prawn noodle lol. Impressive that you're doing back 2 back shoots despite eating a LOT already. Looking forward to watching the next vid :)
Marsiling market got one prawn noodle also very nice, they only operate few hrs a day, everyday long q... they dry version very nice but no more, now only soup version...
Went to try this out, and the soup was really really gao (thiccck), better than the ones at Blanco court prawn mee. Just that the queue to even get a seat at 11am is about 45 minutes wait, so a word of advice is to make a reservation before going down!
I was there a few days ago as a tourist, had the pao fan and prawn noodles. Gotta say, the wet noodle version tasted a lot like penang hokkien mee with the kangkung and pork lard. Very umami. Loved the pao fan more though. Any other good pao fan recommendations for my next SG trip? Haha
The yellow noodles (aka alkaline taste) scares me. Usually order kway teow or kway teow beehoon. Zermatt should try KT, it’s smoother, and zero alkaline taste ☺️
many cheaper n nicer.....this store the quantity so little and yet so expensive le....many cheaper n nicer.....this store the quantity so little and yet so expensive le....
Not really a prawn noodle person so definitely not gonna pay $30 or something lol. Place looks packed though and awesome. I wish there is a movement to cook prawn after they are peeled lol.
Honestly this stall is too expensive. For me I would rather go to the nearby River South (Hoe Nam) Prawn Noodles. Their broth also very good, took 8 hours to make. And they now moved opp shops got air con already. Hahaha. Yes price increased but still cheaper than this
Yes....the amount of noodles it doesn't justify the price at $16.00. No morning glory. 2 small prawns w 5 lalas n few tiny pork lard. Served in a v low disposable box. Taste was nice but v ex. This was at Gastro Beats 2024.
Thanks for the recommendation honest the price is not the most expensive. For that you have to go to zion road. My favorite prawn broth is there but will give this a shot if I am in the area. Prawn noodle the noodle part I would say the best is in Golden Mile Tower Wang Bu Liao Traditional Prawn Noodles. Their broth is very unique and very good in its only way. But the zion road one is like a prawn genocide just so that you can have their prawn noodle.
@@ZermattNeo actually you should consider featuring the the golden mile tower one first. Not sure if it is consider a hidden gem since it has over 100 reviews on google map but that time I went super 冷清. But u will be surprised with their rating. One of those ultra rare GOAT (and not bought like for example munchi, even then munchi are only at around 4.8 and shrinkflationed)
tried it. yeah Zermatt is right one the part of the broth carrying. Noddle vanilla is sweet and not what I expect, even the spicy is not spicy, it is only towards the end when i peel prawn and let the paste mix in the noodle that the overall noodle experience become great. Pork lard kinda too salty, pork rib inconsistent. Prawn is good fresh and bouncy... mostly. I don't see the menu advertising as big prawn so it isn't false advertising. Definite pricy when they added in the GST. I feel quite okay if it was $14 net.
At a starting price of $14 per bowl, I'd expect to dine in at least an air-conditioned environment. The portion they gave doesn't justify the high cost.
$14 for a bowl of prawn noodles n yet people complained of high cost of living? For me, I will pass n pay $5 at other just as good prawn noodles without the Michelin designations . Call me cheap.
Hello. I've seen all your videos. There's something I've been meaning to mention for a while. When you burp, it would be appreciated if you could say "excuse me." It's a simple act of courtesy. Just a gentle reminder, not a criticism. Please don't be upse or offended.😃

I really enjoy watching Zermatts spice journey, from not being able to eat spice, to spice Lord, to "I can't imagine this dish without some spice"
Glad you like them!
🎉Great video Zermatt and the food looks tasty.

Prawns are very small. Advertised Big Prawns but give small Prawns. Nowadays no honest businesses. 👹
😅
😂😂😂😂
It's a sad reality of our world nowadays.
At least it is not lobster mee but give prawn
There is a difference in size between shrimp and prawn. Prawns are big, shrimp are smaller. They should be honest and say they are serving shrimp
Look at the face 😂😂😂 when eat the Hokkien mee 🤣🤣🤣🤣
HAHAHA I was genuinely shocked

When you said morning glory, i was trying to find the blue/purple flowers in the bowls. Kang Kong is morning glory? 😂
morning glory is what the westerner like to name what we asian say kang kong same as we say lady finger which westerners say is Okara
Because it stand stiff??
Hahaha ya It's kang kong - I said morning glory coz later my overseas viewers blur
wah i like to watch Neo eat
bcos after which i will never go and eat that dish................
Why not 🫠
After a food challenge do you digest it all naturally
Yeah just deal with it
You should try the prawn mee at Yishun Park hawker center as a comparison
Which one bro
So it’s from Penang ?
Apparently so haha
Nice video
Thanks
me eating dinner while watching this video, took 3 bites = Zermatt finished 2 bowls

@@ZermattNeo haha eat too much confirm v thirsty after that or next morning hahahh
Not worth the long Q & the broth too sweet 5.5/10.
You should try Meng Kiat Prawn Noodles at Blk 151A Serangoon North Ave 2 & Blk 682 Hougang Ave 4.
Can next time
Yummy
Isn’t this near the char siew rice that you and Eat book Kaira eaten together ?
Eh no not near
Wah finish 20 bowls of prawn noodles then go do food challenge? Only Zermatt can do this kinda thing man not for any mere mortals

Old school prawn noodle would have raw garlic added .
I'll love that
They provide different options
Zermatt: you shouldn't be here

I rather go 205D Compasscale Lane eat 大虾面 $6...also very tasty

Anywhere from like 60 bucks to 300 bucks lol

Zoomed in 2.5x to see the prawn. 😅
My whole team is watching this and they all say it looks so staged. Zermatt can you confirm if this is sponsored content and if so, why never label?
does consuming so much food at once cause you to want to take a shit? lol.
