🔮 "P♡WER FANTASTIC" RIP 🙏🏽 🕊 ☮ 💜 PRINCE ROGERS NELSON 🎶 🌌 ☔
"He's not selling records like, uh, uh, Def Leppard." lol Thanks to Randy Newman for comparing apples to apples cores.
You know I heard him say that and thought " Def Leppard? " I was kinda of expecting him to say Michael Jackson or somebody. Def Leppard wow when was that... 87? But wait Prince had already released Purple Rain. Prince was bigger then Leppard they were on a nice roll tho.
hes comparing their sales not their music ffs
@@Captain_Rhodes I am aware he was talking record sales. Def Leppard was hot in the mid to late 80's and they were a white Rock BAND. However Prince was on fire for the early to mid 80's and that Purple Rain album was super a huge and crossover that was supported by a Block buster movie during that same time period basically . Prince actually complained that soundscan kept inaccurate sales records and that Purple Rain did way more then $25 million world wide. I bet if I checked best selling albums of all time Purple Rain eclipses Def Leppard . But it is a time period comment he made.
@@Detroitblue yea i know all that. point is prince record sales dropped off after purple rain and in the lovesexy era he was just selling solid but not like def leppard were. it doesnt realy matter. i dont even care lol. i was just saying newman's comment was fine
@@Captain_Rhodes LOL you one of those people who dismiss with I don't care. Thats is fine I was just enjoying talk about the times that I am personally familiar with . I was around, I was a Prince fan and that DefLeppard Album was very good. You may not be aware of it but Crossover hits were a bit thing in pop culture at the time. It was important for African Amercan artist to get a set at the table. To get on MTV and all that. Have a nice day.
Been waiting over 30 years to see this documentary. Let’s hope it could finally be released with a Lovesexy Deluxe by the estate? Here’s hoping x
The full length version is here: ruclips.net/video/0G3uFkJOBSU/видео.html
This was just the promo for it basically.
@@MarcusJayMusic wow! Thank you!
I will always be amazed at how he walked in with a empty plate and walks away with diamonds and pearls. How he made music and hits for over 3o years
So happy to see this again Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou xxx
Groove God, Genius, G.O.A.T 💜
Gosh, I just love seeing this again. Everyone struggles to truly define him. Miles said it best 👌🏽💜
Wow the future is alive 🙌 prince
This was on BBC2 very randomly after a DEFII documentary on him, I had the VHS recording it and then this started as I was about to press stop. Was very glad I didn't!
If someone did not like Prince, it is because they were envious. Or their personalities were not compatible/ Sun Signs.
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Cut out all the talking heads and just release all the Prince bits in a new full length version!
The Ladder. The Do Me Baby guitar work... Imagine it. Special stuff.
Remember this from one of the awards shows
I wish that GC could have created a very kool character for Prince to play in Parliament/Funkadelics so that he could have added on a whole lot more to the Legacy of that band history !
Love this Thankyou and The Song The Ladder is so Beautiful x
'A LITTLE BIT MORE' WHAT
So happy this is on yt! I remember this but couldn't find it anymore. Thank you!!!
Max rocks 😂
6:38 Love this funky jam.. I need more of it in my life
Well effen done!!! Best ever. Find that ladder people's.
My Husband Marlon Teixeira and his wife Princess Linda Fay Byrd Teixeira are Married forever my love ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉
There's a way higher quality one about....but I can't find it now
Marlon Teixeira and his wife Linda Fay Byrd Chaplin are husband and wife ❤❤❤❤🎉
why watermark the video?
Why would they say he's considered a "sellout"? People must learn about the truth of where part of his family is from. Their are a lot of racial mysteries there. However, I believe Prince was a sheer genius and will be 4ever more ❤. RIP Prince!
Does anyone know the name of the song being played at 2.30?
What year was this? George Clinton has not looked that young in memory. Miles Davis looked good too and I think they were in cohoot in what umm 92?
1989
Imagine being wack enough to hear 6:36 and not think Prince was a genius.
My youngest Husband the Artis Prince his Wife princess Linda Fay Byrd Chaplin Teixeira Rothschild Love forever ❤❤❤❤🎉
Can anyone tell me the song that is prince is playing when Eric Clapton is talking about him?
Right at 1:06
“Just my imagination” from The Temptations
What is the song he is playing at about 2:00 minutes in?
“Do me baby”
What the hell did Miles Davis say lol
Quincy Jones 🤦♀️
….and remember Max rocks 😂😂😂😂😂😂
unfortunately the voices in Terence's head told him he's as talented as Prince ... and that was that
Who wouldn't like Prince? They must have bad taste in music!
Exactly , i remember watching this on bbc 2 the day it aired and even as young as I was I laughed at the comment Little Richard made. He didn’t operate within the confines of creativity and I think the other artists felt threatened by that. Thomas Newman had no clue calling it a lucky break just shows you.
I can’t believe you have this. I had it on VHS ,recorded off the tv,when I was about 14 and watched it constantly! It’s brought back many happy memories. Thank you x
Haha that's cool, and you're welcome. I taped lots of vhs-vcr stuff/tv clips over the years!
