I hate to be that guy, but this version of the song seems happy and optimistic unlike the AMSP version. I feel like when I listen to it, it’s saying maybe true love isn’t here yet, but it will come one day.
That's the beauty of the 2 different versions, the AMSP version was after Thom's break-up with his partner so is full of sorrow. It doesnt need a doomer version because it already is.
