Genuinely almost makes me cry, LBP is such a huge part of my child hood.
Me, my little brother, and my dad would always play LBP. I have so many memories of friends, and created levels.
I really hope one day this series can be revived, your channel being so dedicated to LBP gives me so much hope that the community is still alive.
I liked LBP 3, it's connectivity sucks but it's all we have right now.
No matter how old this game gets, we'll always be here with you reminiscing on the amazing memories we hold

Same man, massive part of my childhood aswell. It’s really such a shame that I’ll probably never be able to go back to the way it was back then.
I can play Little big planet 2, but it just kind of isn’t the same with the online servers not existing anymore.
LBP almost feels like a loved one that passed away, and I just wish I had spent more time with them and used the time I had with them better.

I recently revisited LBP 1 and 2 and Karting. I played their story modes from start to finish. I had a blast. Of course, LBP 2 was the one I enjoyed the most. However, before I logged off of LBP2 for the last time, something hit me. Hearing that silence in your pod made me think of all the good times I used to hang out with my internet friends in this place. Now it's all gone now. And we've gone our separate ways. Seeing the blank earth and moon reminded me of the early days when my earth used to be super decorated and stylized and being proud of it.
Playing these games offline is torturous. You feel as if you're locked inside a cage. You want to go out and explore new levels and socialize, but you can't.
I can still hear Katy Perry's "Firework" and "E.T.", Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling" on the music sequencer.
As much as I love Fallout, Dark Souls, Red Dead Redemption, Kingdom Hearts, Skyrim, Uncharted etc... Little Big Planet will always be my favorite video game franchise.

Lbp still is my favourite game and i will not forget it. No matter how small the community may get ill still make lvls for them We really need lbp4 though
We need a 3-D LBP where you only control controllinators, having the logic simplicity of LBP and the material complexity of Dreams.
I miss this game so much.

the same with tf2: it’s not been properly updated for 6 years now, but it’s community is what keeps it alive. tf2 is far from dying and so is lbp

I recently began to replay lbp3 for the memories. But in order to do so I had to turn on my ancient PS3. It sadly wouldn't work unless it did a complete factory reset. I tried everything but in the end had to say goodbye to many childhood memories and photos. However, I did get to replay lbp3 (still am!) and man, memories I had forgotten flooded back. Lbp will forever have a special place in my heart for all the good times it gave me and my sis. I'd love to replay lbp2 and 1 but my PS3 is glitching and gatekeeping them from me lmao
I wish they would at least port LBP1&2 levels into LBP3. Nostalgia hurts 😢

Now let me say LBP 1 had a lot of heart and appeal Kids loved it and it was just simple to jump in and play. I sometimes go back and play the story levels and are just amazed at how much fun simple can be, I am a developer now and I sometimes go and see how we approached things to solve design problems I am currently having. I think if MM supported creatives like how RUclips does as a platform the the creatives would of stuck around, I can actually see a system that would really work.
Here's is how I see it. LBP was a great stepping stone for creatives like myself, we could create games and release them for people to play. But it was a bad economy, because we had to buy the game, make the levels and then buy the DLC, release the levels and not get paid, without us LBP would be nothing however we got nothing and then they would cancel out DLC and things just would not work if you got a new PlayStation, ALL THAT WORK and time gone!
Then dreams came out and that was basically like using a game engine to create a game except I could see that it would be the same pattern all over again, so I rightfully switched to using Unity and Unreal Engine. WOW creative freedom and a what I make is MINE forever!
I want LBP back again or something with just as much heart, I might just be willing to try a creation game myself one day. Anyone interested in keeping that conversation going should PM me as I know there are so many awesome creatives in this space. Maybe if SONY somehow loses the rights to LBP, someone could get the rights and make a new game?
You could call me wrong but after my most recent play through of sack boy a big adventure, is totally a test of the function of what will be the base of next little big planet, but its so much more complex and they didn't want to risk a lpb 3 thing again, the game has stight up assets from the oirgnal 3 no way the game wasn't that really i know it isn't the same as LBP but i almost 100% sure its going to become the next little big planet really play trough it with a friend or something and it felt just like old times
i really hope that lbp4 would be released, lbp was my favorite childhood game, and im looking forward for something new to this franchise :D

Its crazy to think i was barely 2 when this game came out, and it was my most fond Playstation memory. I became an xbox player once I bought the xbox 1 and honeslty i wouldn't have had it any other way, i got to play it when i was the youngest and most impressionable, the game was at its peak i played the first second and psp game religously, every road trip, every family visit, i brought that little crappy psp with me with a copy of the game. Crazy to think now im a highschooler working 2 jobs and trying to get a drivers license now and I still think of this game, i have my sackboy stuff animal that i begged for one Christmas (they probably had to find it online because i vaguely remember seeing the third game on a display kiosk the same Christmas and remebering how i wanted a ps4)

This series got EA'd in more ways than one.
Like SimCity, its latest entry was rushed out and left to rot for years.
Like Spore, it was basically abandoned after said entries' DLC came out.
Like the Sims, it got too much DLC, leading to complacency with no new releases.
It was a victim of sloth and greed simultaneously.

Been with lbp since it came out with 1 i remember the fun but not well made levels in the beginning then turning into a Copy Level sesspool where everywhere there was bomb survivals, parkour ninja warriors, wipeout and yes even the famous "kill justin bieber" lvls.
I watched LBP2 grow and explode in popularity I watched the page of new levels get bombarded with hundreds of new great levels everyday, hundreds of great movies, LBP had everything the community wanted costume rooms, horror lvls, funny lvls, music lvls, multiplayer lvls, full on series of lvls like the bank heist series that can't be played now on lbp3 because it crashes, and talking about 3, there was LBP3 that buggy mess of a game that not only destroyed itself with updates against common community features like taking stickers from lvls making sticker shop lvls basically useless and having a ton of file corrupting bugs, I lost my profile and I lost all my previous dlcs from lbp1 and 2 so I gave up.. i watched the community fall apart, LBP.me shutdown, the servers for every game on the ps3 shutdown, and Sony not understanding what made LBP so special just release sackboy TBA as a way to say I know you exist let's put the mascot to use and sell.
I love LBP and I wish it to come back almost as much as I want my girlfriend to come back but that's only a decision they can make.
So until then I'll wait like I know a lot of you are, dream big even if the space is small and don't give up on what you love.

Man I wish they would just re-release Little Big planet 1 and 2 for the PlayStation 4 or 5 with patches and updates of course. But the fact that we can no longer play those two games. The way they were intended to be played really hurts and also some of my DLC from those two games have disappeared between PlayStation 3 and 4, I used to have the PlayStation 2 launch spaceman outfit but I don't anymore and I don't know what happened. I can't download it either. It's not on the PlayStation store anymore and I'm just fed up with little big planet. 3. It's slow. It's buggy and I just don't like how the menus are laid out and it just seems like there's nothing in the play anymore and I'm scared to go to some levels because I don't want a bunch of crap in my popit that stays their permanently and not to sound vain or anything. But back in a little big planet one and two. My games would at least get some players now. They pretty much don't get any. I think it's because of all the hacking and stuff. The levels are just overflooded and copying of course. But another thing is that there's nobody to play with anymore. I go to a level that's supposed to be multiplayer. There's nobody playing. Nobody joins. Never get any joint request. Just feels so hollow and empty
