I watched this amv in the past and even now, two years later, it doesn't fail to give me chills, so I am going to write a lengthy comment about it like the over-analyst that I am. The way the clips are stiched along to the lyrics really capture the beauty of this anime and magnify it, by combining the already beautiful background or the symbolic shots and mixing it with the melody/lyrics. I am in love with the entirety of the video but 2:58 - 3:40 is especially my favorite part. The song itself gives a perfect feeling of satoru's determination and the video feels like a represantation of his mental state and desperation throughout the series. On the practical side, the editing is extremely smooth and non-monotonous, it plays a big role itself in making this masterpiece In a few words: damn this stuff is good 100/10

Its actually funny because I though this song fit the series before it was even finished (it was around episode 6 or 7, not sure), so it was actually a huge coincidence (and opportunity), that some later scenes fit so well with the song, but regardless I always try to make the scenes flow with the lyrics, in a practical, metaphorical or philosophical sense.
