I am actually going to do a food plot and i want to do a mixture of oats and clover...... did you use a specific brand such as biologic or just go to your local tractor supply or something?
His video was posted in early September. The Oats become a major draw when natural browse dies off. When autumn is in full swing there is very little left from natural browse. This field will likely be heavily used come late October. That is the idea, he did everything perfect. And a lot of people plant their cereal grains too early. You want young, palatable, tender, new growth & the ideal planting window for the north is around 1st week of Sept. Nice looking plot!! Way to be proactive with a solution to the overbrowsed beans!
Great video, thanks for the advice. I hope your season is bountiful.
Thanks James Marshall. And that is a Summit Plot Mule ATV disk that works great !
Hey, nice videos! Keep up with the wealth of knowledge you give everyone. Quick question, what type of disk or tiller are you using in this video?
+James Marshall Thanks James. I used the Summit ATV plot mule on this food plot here !!
Do these hold up in the cold
Ok.Thank you for the fast response?
+Ashton Zills No problem
How long until buck forage oats sprout?Germinate.A week and a half sound right.
Do you have any tips as far as Treestand cover goes and stuff like that?
+Ashton Zills Yea, position your stands so you are not skylined against the open sky. Deer see your movement a lot easier that way

Ok.So with very little cover and me not moving much I could get away with a tree with very little cover?
Jack this food plot is a 1/2 acre in the middle of the Adirondacks. "Drilling" over the beans was not an option
Grant Woods does it all the time
Where did you get that disc?
Will a rototiller work?
+Ashton Zills It will yes
Can yo share what mandolin music this is in the begining of the video please. TY
Plot looks good, but it looks like it's not getting browsed and that's the point of food plots.
+Huntinhungryhippos Thank you. I can assure you this food plot saw plenty of deer, turkeys and even bears feeding in these oats !

+Ashton Zills Our NNY deer love them
If I don't move I could get away with very little cover on a tree?
You based out of North East ?
Thank you. But I have captured thousands of images of Deer browsing in this food plot daily. I can assure you that the Deer are in there !
Shoulda planted turnups at same time
woulda been more efficient to drill over the beans instead of discing it under
