    the flask is not kept inverted it is kept - inclined and that is so because to prevent the trickling back of water vapour which may tend to crack the flask. it is a flask not a funnel

    Nessler's reagant- K2HgI4 reacts with AMMONIA it changes into pale brown colour and on passage of excess of ammonia it forms a reddish brown ppt.

      Bro its very easy see》》》》
      In hcl's fountain experiment we use blue litmus solution and when the water get into the flask filled with HCl gas , pressure inside the flask reduces and thus the blue litmus solution gets into the flask containing HCl gas and then the blue litmus solution turns red due to the acidic nature of HCl .....
      This demonstrates the acidic nature of HCl ...
      ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
      And in case of ammonia we use red litmus solution as when it will come in contact with NH3 it turns blue ...
      And thus demonstrates the basic nature of NH3.....
      And else everything in the process is same...

    Mam ur wrong at 10:20 , u said its tilted to collect ammonia gas as it is even lighter than air , there might be any other reason for tilting it b'cause if it was for collecting ammonia , it would have been kept upright so that the gas formed directly enters the tube .....
