For anyone new to the game, this guys videos are really helpful. Something I would add is to build up authority once you're in a position to get followers. If you pick 'well trained' as the last perk even a level 1 fighter is viable. Get your tools up to steel ASAP and get the steel truncheon. Arm yourself and your thrall with the steel truncheon and then hunt named thralls. The armorer trick helps to get the heavy armor too and so look out for armorers to make thralls
@@ExSoldier101 if you get an armorer thrall you can put them on the tanners bench and it unlocks 'stitch' I think it's called which means you can make hide into thick hide to then make thick leather. It saves going out and having to kill tougher animals for thick hide

35:52 FYI, there are 4 easy iron nodes near here. Climb up here to the next plain above. Go around the corner to the left for one. Now travel west past the large central tree, then west by north-west to the next upper plain. At the western base of the mountain on the line of F/G 4 are three more nodes.
I recorded this on Thursday (launch day), I have since watched both yours and Granny Gamester's videos and we all start with the 1x1 sandstorm shelter 😂
Just been playing a few days now and watched first day 8 off episodes of your beginners guide I’m on Xbox but still very helpful and still applies to the new dlc. Ty man helped alot
Had to sub. You and these series are great. Thanks for all your time and energy. It was mentioned in the comments of your beginner series. But i also picked the lizard island at the far east of noob river as my starter base location. Couple nice camps and a plethora of iron just to the north. Plus the upper plateaus of the island make for plenty space for base footprint. Foals to the east. Rhinos in the preserve to the sw.

Angaar finding iron ore nodes like its nothing. Bread n butter for him. Also you know the game mechanics exceptionally well. Meanwhile I struggle to go back n forth between attributes, feats and searching and scurrying for things.
Played the start of the game so many times I know so many iron node locations. But you can find them all along the cliff edges all along the north side of noob river
To get down easy from high places jump against the mountain and start free falling against it than press the grab button and he grabs and slides against it slowing him down, you do that once or twice and you get to the bottom without taking any damage quickly
The way to un-nerf thralls is to decrease the amount of damage that all npcs take, and boost your own damage output to make up the difference. Your thrall will take less damage, but you'll still be able to kill enemies at the same rate if your damage output is right. I also like to boost the damage output of npcs a bit, while decreasing the amount of damage my character takes. Makes it feel more realistic. Because things take longer to kill with noob weapons, but you take longer to kill too, which helps if you're on console, because the game lags when you take hits sometimes, and then you're dead by the time regular fps comes back. Also, very few things can instantly kill a human or an animal, and we tend to fight until we're dead. But bosses still pack a punch, and higher level weapons actually feel like higher level weapons. Idk where I was going with this, but the dopamine train stopped, so I guess I'll end it here.
I recently started playing and I have to say watch this series as you play is almost a necessity. 😅 My brother tried this game before me but quit because of how unfriendly the beginning is…

We start collecting shalebacks at level ten, and have fifteen once we learn and craft amimal pen at thirteen.
Fun fact: old wood is actually just slightly better than coal according to my testing. The main benefit coal has is that you can refine it into charcoal which is the best fuel I've found thus far.
You missed two vulture nests. The rock you jumped to and climbed down to where you found the first nest has two on top of it. I always build my starter base on that island, so I know it very well.

I get it but the game kinda needed a thrall Nerf because gangs of PvP players where going around oneshooting other players, plus you could never breach their base because of the crazy amount of thralls they had in them. The only negative thing is that it effects the pve servers as well.
Perhaps once you get to the point where the last series ended, start making this more of a beginners guide than a play through. By then the new elements in the game will be sorted out also.
they need to combine the journey steps into one list so that as u do them they are checked off even if u do them out of sequence like many of us do!!!!
I kind of understand their plan as a step-by-step guide for beginner's that haven't found my Beginner's Guide series yet 😉 I was watching Brian Menard's video the other day of his first time ever playing Conan Exiles and going through the Journey steps was a huge help to him. When he wanted to learn how to make armour he enabled the Armourer journey and followed it step-by-step, same with the Blacksmith etc. If it auto-completes too many steps it wouldn't make as much sense.
Hi, the content of your videos are great!Thank you very much for sharing your creations! I’m on an iPad Pro and the volume of your videos compared to others is very low. To clarify, it’s your voice volume and not the game volume. Umm, I just tried it with a Bluetooth speaker and the volume sounds fine ☺️
Thanks for the video. Some questions: If I can only afford the base game, which one should I go for, elder scrolls online or this? What are the limitations for base game owners? Any must have dlcs? Subscriptions fee? Other monetizations? Thank you.
Can't answer that question for you I'm afraid. They are 2 different genres of game altogether; ESO is a high fantasy MMO and Conan Exiles is a low fantasy survival game. So guess it depends on which game style you prefer. No limitations on the base game, and indeed on my Beginner's Guide series I complete the whole game only using the base game. All the DLC's are purely cosmetic items; armour, building pieces, weapons, etc. No subscription required and they have now replaced the DLC packs with a Battle Pass system where you unlock the items by completing challenges, but again this is purely cosmetic and not required at all if you don't want it.
I didn't know you could turn crocodile and hyena skins straight to leather, lol I've been using the bench to turn them to normal hides, then using the tanner to turn to leather, d'oh ;p
Way back that was the way to do it, however I think it is slightly more efficient to put them straight in the Tannery. Never actually checked the maths, but I usually end up with so much that I don't really bother and just throw it in the Tannery
Hey man, I am really enjoying this gameplay. Can you show the place you are in the map for the next videos? I am trying to follow your steps, but as I am a newbie, I get lost pretty easy haha
Thanks Diogo. The location you need to look for is the 2 giant statues called The Sentinels about mid way down noob river. That is where my Beginner's Guide series starter base was. This base is just slightly west of there. You will see the 1 skull human on the north bank
not enough of T & A, you know, sex sells 😂 none the less.. gonna watch this series while waiting for them to fix the console versions a bit.. I almost deleted the comment, dont take it too seriously 🤣 I just love how over the top you can make the characters look in the game..
The only Jhil armour I know of is from the Jhil vault on the Isle of Siptah map. The Jhil caves on Exiled lands don't have armour in them, the bosses just drop the odd weapon and black blood tools. I go there in Ep.30 of this series
The switch to tab key has thrown me off more than a few times. Could remap it but, nah. Tab actually makes more sense. I am going to remap commands away from E however.
So as a idea can you do a walkthrough on the Alchemist bench please. Cause before the 3.0 update I was making my own Skeleton thralls but now they are not showing up on the benches at all. Not at the alchemy table or the Cauldrons which I used to make corrupted bone then over to the alchemist bench where I got a named thrall to work at but there is nothing there
@@AngaarUK THAT'S SO DUMB. Man I wanted to make an actual skeleton warrior. They were creating the last time I played. I had 3 of them cooking at my alchemy table then when I get back there is nothing. BOOOOOO
Played some Conan on friends computer years ago, just realized it was free for the week 3 days in and took me half a day to DL and install so only a few days left to play. There seems early on wasn't near as much to do back then so lost interest. I have subscribed to your channel as you know what you are doing for starting out and I like your style. I had a few questions maybe someone knows. What is the cheapest way to buy it when the free trial ends, will my save work and will I be getting the Age of Sorcery version. Thanks for your vids.
Usually the cheapest way is during a Steam sale (not sure when the next one is due), but I see it is currently available for £10.19 right now which is probably as good as you will get it for a while. Other option are the various CD key type sites. When you buy the game you always get the latest update.
Hey Angaar. I've just started watching your other series (Conan Exiles - Beginner's Guide 2022 playlist) as I'm trying the free weekend and I'm wondering if it's still fine to watch (it's not outdated)? Cheers
That vast majority of the series is still relevant you will just find that pets and thralls are nerfed down in the 3.0 update. But so far it still appears that the ones I go for are still the ones to go for now as they are still the strongest even after the nerf.
So u know. When u used ur hatchet on the branch and it gave u more then one. I can do the same with a pickaxe on the single rocks but they CANNOT be the buried ones
I'm curious has the way corruption works changed, I've built a similar pyramid to the last series and when I go down the stairs into the base I get 1 tick of corruption
Hey Angaar. I'm on the xbox one and loaded up my old world after the update. It is having weird graphical glitches like objects being invisible or clothing making parts of the character's body disappear. As anyone else had this problem and can you tell me how to solve it
Both Xbox and PlayStation are having massive issues my clan has a base we cant even get into anymore with out dc ing every time. Invisible enemy’s around the map and major glitches with the construction hammer destroying random things while building. Loot bags also disappearing in just two or three seconds… nice work funcom ……

I kind of understand their plan as a step-by-step guide for beginner's that haven't found my Beginner's Guide series yet 😉
I was watching Brian Menard's video the other day of his first time ever playing Conan Exiles and going through the Journey steps was a huge help to him.
If the grass doesn't grow back ( still watching video ) you could make nice pathways around base's
Spoiler Alert: it does 😆
thank you
Thanks for the video.
Some questions:
If I can only afford the base game, which one should I go for, elder scrolls online or this?
Hi
Nice (for the algorithim)
please complete this game %100 and do some massive builds
Can you do more building in this playthrough?
not enough of T & A, you know, sex sells 😂 none the less.. gonna watch this series while waiting for them to fix the console versions a bit.. I almost deleted the comment, dont take it too seriously 🤣 I just love how over the top you can make the characters look in the game..
How big are those fun bags !
They could be bigger!!! 😲
Hi Angaar, I have a question in Conan exiles it says you can get the Jhil armor, in the jhil cave, can't seem to find it. Do you see it??
The only Jhil armour I know of is from the Jhil vault on the Isle of Siptah map. The Jhil caves on Exiled lands don't have armour in them, the bosses just drop the odd weapon and black blood tools. I go there in Ep.30 of this series
I like your gameing😅
The switch to tab key has thrown me off more than a few times. Could remap it but, nah. Tab actually makes more sense. I am going to remap commands away from E however.
I haven't gotten a mount on the new update, have they fixed it so mounts are actually usable on a keyboard?
Same as before, never had a problem with it. Slow turns at speed, faster turns when you ease off
So as a idea can you do a walkthrough on the Alchemist bench please. Cause before the 3.0 update I was making my own Skeleton thralls but now they are not showing up on the benches at all. Not at the alchemy table or the Cauldrons which I used to make corrupted bone then over to the alchemist bench where I got a named thrall to work at but there is nothing there
That came from the Witch Doctor feat that you used to learn at The Summoning Place. Sadly that feat was removed in 3.0
@@AngaarUK THAT'S SO DUMB.
100%
Yep your settings are screwed up.
Specifically the nudity slider.
I'm curious has the way corruption works changed, I've built a similar pyramid to the last series and when I go down the stairs into the base I get 1 tick of corruption
Sounds like a bug, has it been fixed in latest patch?
Im about to get this game, do you have any Dlc on or recommend one?
It is just cosmetic stuff, both building and armour, depends which styles you like the look of
Everything is fine except for minor lag and some mobs warping around on PC, they really should have ran test clients on the consoles as well. Rip ;(
It is sadly a known issue across both consoles. They have commented on it and found the cause and are plugging away on a fix asap.
Few peeps on my Discord have mentioned this. Hope they patch it soon.
Along with invis, had no sound for the 1st 3 boot ups, corruption continually flashes by a dancer.
It'll get sorted out
Just a quick question, i can't see the hitpoints of enemies - just the bar itself, no values. Is there a setting which I'm missing?
If you go into Settings > Gameplay there is a option called Show Bar Values
@@AngaarUK Thanks for that mate!
Was messing about in server settings for ages - thinking that I was just blind!
These videos have really helped me, but I'm struggling with how to find the animal pen, it isn't listed anywhere in knowledge??
Animal Tamer is under the Survival section near the bottom, same section as Thrall Taker
@@AngaarUK I did eventually find it. Just getting used to the pretty complicated interface. Thanks for the help :)
