Now as I have watched your family house being built in every video you’ve made I want to express my opinion of the workmanship and organization of the order in which it has been done and I have never seen a better job nor one equal to the quality that I see in your project. I have not seen wasted time or short cuts on quality. Congratulations, I’m proud for you and your family.
Any one that says it's just concreate has no idea how hard these guys are working. Not only hard work but it takes a lot of skill as well if you don't think so just try it on your own.
I want to say about the snooze button when my husband and I worked we never hit the snooze button because I set the clock across the room from our bed I had to get out of bed to shut it off by that time we were wide awake.
My late husband worked 12 years for lafarge ready mix. It is hard on their knees and back. They need to wash the truck and slide. And they have to get in the tumbler scraped the dry cement. It is a hard job.
The broom effect makes it not slippery, adds texture! I wish they could’ve joined the walk while they were there! I’ve never seen men work as hard as fast and in-sink as everyone has building your home!
Very smart cleaning the site as it goes on, I’ve seen building sites in an absolute mess, rubbish everywhere, building waste, a nightmare to clean up. Those concrete guys are incredible. ❤️❤️❤️

I know how excited ya’ll are. We built a house back in the early 90’s. It is so exciting. We no longer live in that house, but it was our first and meant a lot to us. Enjoy every moment and I can’t wait to see the finished house. I can see how excited ya’ll are everytime ya’ll are in the house talking about it. I grew up watching my dad pour concrete in our driveway & backyard. They used the same process as well. I learned a lot from a young age as construction was always being done around us. I was the kid asking tons of questions, so I learned a lot.

My husband poured and worked in concrete for a living. He always kept his tools clean for the next job. I still have some of his tools, was a hard job but he enjoyed working with it. Fun fact if the cement is mixed right it takes 100 years to get to it's strongest point and another 100 years to get back to it's weakest point. My dad worked in a cement plant for many many years and that's where I learned that from. Those big smoothing things are floats. It works the water to the top to smooth it. Then they can brush it. The cut lines work really well to control where the cracks go. Be sure to let your concrete cure as long as they say before you drive even the side by side on it.

It's called "scoring" the concrete, for expansion with the heat and cold. It keeps the concrete from cracking and breaking apart with expansion and contraction.

My husband was a finisher. I helped himpour slabs and do exactly what those guys are doing on our home when we pour our garage. I was very interested in how this all was done. It’s very backbreaking work as I can attest to two back surgeries after I helped him with all of this.
