Would love to hear more about meditation, what it's done for you, methods that do and don't work for you, etc.! Also, in quarantine, I've found that making food has done so much for pulling me out of the stress of the day. Prepping and staging all the ingredients first, then experiencing the smells, the process, the transformation pulls me into the present, then focusing on feeding and fueling others with delicious, nutritious food and doing the dishes re-grounds me in compassion and selflessness. Unexpected, but I'm really beginning to look forward to it everyday!
The pillows make the whole thing so much cozier and more restorative :) I was doing a restorative yoga video from the youtube channel Yoga with Adriene in that session, she often uses things like pillows and blankets :)
I always knew that I was an introverted, highly sensitive, empath and just a few years ago, I was also diagnosed with an invisible disability. Coming across your channel gives me such peace, quiet and serenity, along with concrete tools we can use too, in our lives to better our lives. I really appreciate your channel and absolutely adore your content. Keep up the great work V!
This is a great video Vera - thank you 😊 I actually prefer the ideas of low key stress relievers, as they are manageable and realistic to fit into my daily routine. Because they don’t take long or necessarily cost money, I sometimes find that I have actually ended up doing a few of them by the end of the day, just by doing one at a time - as I feel the need to. I personally find the following from this video great 😊…. Doing things intentionally (this is so effective IMO) Writing in my journal .. and writing down what you think is causing the stress Doing nothing for a few moments Being in nature Swinging my arms round 😂 Deep breaths I also really enjoy watching your videos as you have a very calming persona and voice and I love the way you add beautiful scenes from nature into your videos ❤
I’m so glad I found your channel back the first part of this year. You make me feel so much better about myself and my health. I’m a Esophageal cancer survivor and I battle depression and anxiety problems. Thank you for sharing so much wonderful information and advice. God bless you. 🙏🏻❤️
I also feel like including yoga in my life has been totally transformational....my stress reducing "guilty pleasure" is taking the time to soak in a tub with bubbles while listening to music :)
I'm the kind of person who always tries her best not to be stressed...I try not to be negatively affected by negative things around me and stressful things that happen every now and then. My life motto when it comes to this is: Life is like a donut, you can either look at the useless hole or enjoy the sweet dough! :) 🥰 Take care Vera! Thanks for these helpful tips!
Stressed about being stressed and when one will be able to let go, this resonates with me. I found ways to "click" my head to other things. It is continous work, but well worth it.
Your slowing things down idea is great!....before the pandemic, I was always busy and rushing around so no wonder I took on too much stress. Last number of months though I HAVE slowed down and simplified things and I do find that I’m so much more at peace. Once things get back to “ normal”, I’ve decided that I don’t want to be that busy ever again. I can still do things but not so many! Also, I have been deep breathing and sighing it out for years and it really does work!
Yes Vera, I would love to see you do more meditative videos. I watch Simple Happy Zen many times a day and or evening into night. I have found an odd way to relax and distress. My family and my friend know when I’m popping bubble wrap that I am relieving stress. There’s something about squeezing each bubble slowly but continuously until it pops releases more stress with each bubble popped. Of course I like doing this while watching your videos and sitting next to my favorite White Gardenia Candle flickering with 3 flames releasing my favorite calming scent. But Simple Happy Zen is the most important component to my stress relief. The calming sound of your voice with the beautiful photos and lovely nature videos has me smiling before the video is over. Your smile is so relaxing, I find myself smiling along with you before each video is over. I watch 3, 4, 5 and sometimes even more of Simple Happy Zen before I’m done. I don’t comment, but I always give it a big 👍 thumbs up. This my favorite video soI watch it often. I would love to see more videos like this one.❤️🌺🦋🌸
Oh wow Deborah, thank you so much! I don't know what to say 💖💖 So happy my videos are helpful for you and that you're enjoying them! Thank you so much for your support. Wishng you a wonderful rest of your day
🙏🏻 definitely a video to save. In the last few years I’ve found and practiced the majority of your tips- every morning I tune into short guided mediation and mindfulness to greet the day and care for my body and mind. Then I switch to beauty, slow fashion, decluttering, sweet and funny pet videos- thinking it was guilty pleasure, and now realizing how relevant influencers (as yourself) have become in showing me how to find acceptance, body - mind balance, inner love space, self care, and gratitude. Your tips in any combination really have changed me- I can tame my emotions and moods, heal from hurts, and approach everything and every body with positivity - some days are easier than others, of course. Thank you for your empathy and kindness ❤sending love to you all and your mindfulness journey
Crossword puzzle books, Cross stitching, reading a good book are a few of my de stress activities …. I am highly sensitive with a diagnosis of Panic Disorder …. Each day can bring on its own set of challenges …. 30 Years ago when I was diagnosed with PD .. mindfulnesses, self care … etc wasn’t as popular …. I’m so heart happy to have found your channel
I have been enjoying your videos through lock down. I they help me be calm and happy and move away from my stress and ocd hoarding. I also enjoy the views of the Netherlands are lovely to see as I am missing my trips there. I would like to see a video of your meditation tips and I would love it if you did a guided meditation. Thanks.
Thansk so much Janine. Take good care! I actually do have a few guided meditations, you can find the playlist here: ruclips.net/p/PLpDAC25h6PC-mZqi_Xd6ldISOzYdefy5O
Thank you so much for this video! I was feeling anxious last night and actually browsed through your channel to see if I'd missed anything that would help. This is just what I needed.
Aw I'm so thankful you went to my channel! I actually have a few older videos about stress and anxiety that you might find helpful as well, I'll leave a few links here. ruclips.net/video/eYSF9bUaTpU/видео.html ruclips.net/video/-XszLDmKyyA/видео.html ruclips.net/video/ItJgJNYSmgQ/видео.html ruclips.net/video/Hn27xzVxTJg/видео.html
Thank you for this video. I needed to see this today and it's refreshing to see a self care video that doesn't involve face masks or painting your nails x
I made myself a chili sin carne in a lettuce wrap, some thin slices cucumber on the side it made me reset while cooking. A bit of rice and a creamy spoon of ( vegan) yoghurt added. So content and happy with a filled belly full of healthy food☺️
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. Your slightly burred backdrop with the houseplants is very relaxing to look at. I loved the graphics and the individual tips written against the simple white background and your spoken English is impeccable.
Good morning Vera, this could not have come at a better time. I am preparing for a job interview and the closer I am to the day, feeling stressed and overwhelmed. I will take this with me. Thank you so very much for posting this. 🤍
So happy the video was helpful. Good luck with the job interview, just remember you always have your breath with you, so take a few deep breaths whenever you need them :)
Vera, when I am stressed or anxious, I light candles, I drink a cup of coffee and froth some oat milk... I watch utube, videos that interest me, like your channel is one of my favorites I will listen to Dhani Harrison here on utube with his singing bowl, and he sings Inner Light, he just calms me, please listen to him, he is actually George Harrison’s son ( I love the Beatles) also listen to my Beatle albums. Right now I am enjoying a little Christmas tree on my night stand, and I am enjoying having it when I am in my bedroom. I bought Native for my daughter and teenage granddaughters Christmas stocking, I heard so many good things about this product. Take care Vera
Oh I love it!! Thanks Chrstine and thanks for the tip too! And I love you bought the native deodorants for your granddaughters, I'm sure they'll love it :) Take care and have a wonderful end of the year, thanks for all your support and encouragement!
Watching you make me feel like slowing down already, it is crazy how rushing and busyness are so highly rated in our society.. I have the feeling with my rushing I have lived like 5 lifes in one.. all burnout and haven’t enjoyed any.. thank you so much for this 🌌
Besides meditation, i listen to Israel kamakawiwoole version of “ somewhere over the rainbow” over and over again. 😊 And Eckhart tolle RUclips videos ! And yours too 😁
Definitely needed this. Today the school term finally ended and I'm exhausted from those 4 hard months of online school. As always thank you so much I appreciate this! 😊💕
Very helpful to know that I am not alone in feeling stressed about being stressed, or anxious about being anxious. I am enjoying the calming vibe of your videos. Thank you!
Very good VERA... Living with calm and quiet, these tips are very useful. Self care is very much important than other things. Becoz if you are okay then and then only you can assist or help or advice needed one perfectly. 👍👍
Am I a weirdo if your video's help me de-stress? My skin and health have been going down these last two months, from work to moving...seems the more doctors and people tell me to relax the more stressful I become. Escaping in the evenings with your video's really help me get out of my own head so thank you🤗
You're definitely not a weirdo! :) I'm sorry to hear you've been feeling stressed. I can relate to feeling even more stressed out when people tell you to relax. I've found the trick is to stop trying to be more relaxed. To accept whatever is going on, and just try to take care of myself the best way I can. When I let go of the pressure to relax, that's when some of the stress finally melted away, and slowly but surely I felt better. Take care!
So helpful, thank you for sharing! (Jonsi & Sigur Ros are my favorites too). Thank you so much for your channel. I always leave feeling more centered and calm ❤️
Hi Vera, Your partnership with Native has made me decide that I am going to give them a try once I finish my remaining tubes of mainstream deodorant brand - unfortunately I've still got a few I want to use up since I bought a multi-pack, but I am looking forward to switching to something aluminum-free. I also wanted to say that I purchased and read the two books you mentioned in your recent decluttering video (Destination Simple, Seeking Slow). I enjoy this type of content and am really looking forward to learning more about it in your videos! Lastly, yes I would definitely be interested in more meditation videos! I hope you are having a cozy and restful holiday season. Thank you for continuing to make such wonderful videos. :)
Thanks so much Laura for your kind comment!! :) I love that you're enjoying the books too :) I wish you a lovely holiday season as well, take care my friend!
These are really great ideas to de-stress and relax Vera. When I am stressed I like to be still for a few minutes and then write in my journal, play classical music on my piano, or pet my cat. :)
Slow down...wow...I habitually bump up the speed to 1.25! Sheesh! I needed this one so much! I keep trying to go faster and faster because I feel so behind but it becomes absurd when one speeds up video replays and (yikes!) even audiobooks. Thank you for this one!
I can totally relate :) It's so weird how we're always trying to go faster and faster.. I'm working on a slow living project for the channel that will be done soon :)
The way you speak is so calming and the information that you share is so vital. Yoga has changed my life for the better as well. I feel less anxious and less stressed all throughout the day. Another one for me is going for a dip in the ocean. I forget about all my problems. Thanks for sharing this Vera
Yes I’m also like this. I get stressed and anxious greatly just to find out that I’m stressed out. Because of the negative impacts it has. Also because I have failed to get rid of it before. I’m currently trying to slow down and enjoy the everyday peaceful activities and be in the moment to be grateful for what I currently have despite what I want for my future. Like ,if I enjoy this right now and here doesn’t mean I won’t get where I want.
I would be interested in which videos on RUclips you enjoy for yoga and meditation. I absolutely LOVED this video, Vera. I am a high-school teacher doing distance learning and it has taken all my strength and positivity to help my students stay positive and happy these 4 months of school. Now I am somewhat depleted, after giving so much of myself. This video came at a perfect time.
Thanks so much for all your hard work, and I hope you'll have lots of opportunities to care for yourself soon as well :) I terms of yoga, my go-to place on youtube is always Yoga With Adriene, highly recommend her channel :) For meditation I mostly don't use anything, but sometimes I'll use the free versions of the Calm or Headspace app :)
Thank you so much for this, I needed this to fall into my notifications this week as I have been suffering with a tension headache for 4 days and the more I think about it the more it comes back. This has then sent me into a vicious circle of anxiety. I have done the alternate nasal breathing and walking with my family, yoga and meditation is my go to anyway and legs up the wall. Now I feel amazing. Like there has been a release. Thank you, Thank you, Thank, you x PS yes to more meditation videos xx
So happy you're feeling better Samantha! Remember, these self care activities are always there for you, whenever you need them (or just feel like doing them haha)
Omg yes yoga with Adrienne! The standing half fold/full fold and slowing rising to mountain pose and the cat/cows have been a godsend for my back and neck now that i’m working remotely and sitting around all the time.
Really found your ideas helpful and will try the breathing as a way to de-stress. Sometimes life gets in the way and we forget to take care of ourselves!
When I get in that stressing over being stressed cycle it takes a while for my body and mind to learn to relax again when I'm relaxing. Cleaning calms me and gives me a fresh perspective sometimes too. I already have my warm drink. 😊 Thanks for the reminders.
Heart of Kentucky. Hey Beautiful Vera. Thank you for your video. It was a real pick me up. Still praying for you and your mother. God Bless your day. Katie.
Great ideas! I love to exercise regularly on my mat or going for long walks. I also love to have my morning cup of coffee while watching a You Tube video. This routine keeps me relaxed. 👍
Three years ago I went through a traumatic experience, and started having severe panic attacks. I would then stress out and freak when it happened! Over time I was able to recognize and acknowledge when the symptoms rise. Now I just breathe slowly and I know that it will pass, which reduces the anxiety by 80%. I have a lazy side, so I enjoy taking a little nap, cuddled with my two little girl dogs 😊. And this year I put in the effort to keep my condo organized, so my environment is neat and calm. 2021? Meditation practice!
I also have panic attacks, not often but when I do, it’s scary. I have found concentrating on your breathing is the best thing you can do. Also, I’m also lazy and love my naps but how on earth did you get your home clean, organized and calm?! Lol
Really needed this, Vera. Such a great video... this year has been so weird and stressful that I am sure we all need these tips, to calm down and de stress. The things that calm me are- listening to relaxing and calming instrumental music, being in nature and gardening. Whenever I am overwhelmed and stressed out, I usually go with my husband for bird watching, that too really takes off a lot of my stress. Thanks for all the lovely tips.. just watching this video, calmed me so much.😊
Well thought out. I loved the way one suggestion kind of flowed into the next and there is something for anybody in this list. I also appreciate your graciousness in including and thinking of those who may have different life/ spiritual views. Stay well!
I always get stressed when I feel I didn't accomplish everything I wanted to that day, for instance returning phone calls the same day really stresses me out if I didn't have time to call back or just didn't feel like it. I definitely listen to music, sit in the yard for a while , clean or just lay on my bed for 10 minutes. I will be trying legs up the wall and knocking on heavens door ( great song by Eric Clapton). A yoga and .meditation video would be really nice Vera. Have a wonderful weekend! :)
I tried the arm thing. Oh my gosh, it works! I, too, find they laying on the floor is very helpful but since I can’t easily do that at my work, the arm exercise is perfect. Happy music from the 70s like KC and the Sunshine Band helps me de-stress
Hi Vera! Thanks for the informative video 😊 I also like to stare in the wall hahaha 😂 It's actually quite calming, also to listen to the wind outside (I live in Norway, lots of weather here 🇳🇴😁) Apart from that, I enjoy yoga, reading and walking in nature. Thanks again 👍🏾
Hi Vera, Thanks for the self care tips. My favorite self care routine is Qi Gong. Lee Holden has a 10 minute morning routine available on You Tube that includes a move called 'knocking on the door of life', similar to the arm swinging. I also love your legs up the wall, but I do that in the evening after a long day of being on my feet. Thanks again for all the tips. Have a great holiday!

Have a chat with my mom is a one way to release my stress.
I enjoy a cup of tea and listen to music. I also like to take a walk.
Having a pets, one of the best ways to reduce stress 🌝
Would love to hear more about meditation, what it's done for you, methods that do and don't work for you, etc.!
Also, in quarantine, I've found that making food has done so much for pulling me out of the stress of the day. Prepping and staging all the ingredients first, then experiencing the smells, the process, the transformation pulls me into the present, then focusing on feeding and fueling others with delicious, nutritious food and doing the dishes re-grounds me in compassion and selflessness. Unexpected, but I'm really beginning to look forward to it everyday!
Watching movie is my secret to not feel stressed
By far, the most effective countermeasure against stress that I've found is the word NO.
Haha yes that's very powerful :)
You’re absolutely right! 👏👏♥️♥️
1. Deep cleaning
2. Books
3. Tea
4. Music
5. Reiki
Hygge, My way. 😀
Sending you a lot of Love from Croatia. 😀
p.s. Sigur Ros 👌😀
Yes, deep cleaning helps me de-stress as strange as it sounds to some!
It sounds and It's perfectly normal to us. 😀
I love meditation and yoga as well
Those yoga moves look so relaxing. Have you done a video on what tips you have? The pillows made laugh but looked seriously awesome.
The pillows make the whole thing so much cozier and more restorative :) I was doing a restorative yoga video from the youtube channel Yoga with Adriene in that session, she often uses things like pillows and blankets :)
Self care is so valuable to increase our life quality ❤️
I agree! Thanks Patricia 🤗🌿🌺

It seemed that all your ideas are authentic, which are based from your own experiences. These are real stress reliever! Thank you, Ms. Vera!
Thank you so much! Yes I wanted to share my real activities in this video and not stick with the basics that everyone already knows :)
So helpful, thank you for sharing! (Jonsi & Sigur Ros are my favorites too). Thank you so much for your channel. I always leave feeling more centered and calm ❤️
That's wonderful to hear, thank you! Also, I checked out your channel and LOVE your music!! 💕💕💕💕 Incredibly beautiful
Simple Happy Zen aww I’m so happy to hear that! Thank you! ❤️
Yes! A video about meditation is a great idea. Thanks! Just your tone of voice is in itself very relaxing.
Thank you so much 🤗
Hi Vera,
Your partnership with Native has made me decide that I am going to give them a try once I finish my remaining tubes of mainstream deodorant brand - unfortunately I've still got a few I want to use up since I bought a multi-pack, but I am looking forward to switching to something aluminum-free.
💙🙌
These are really great ideas to de-stress and relax Vera. When I am stressed I like to be still for a few minutes and then write in my journal, play classical music on my piano, or pet my cat. :)
Sounds so lovely!! :)
1.Meditation
2. Walking
3. Gardening
Yes to all!
Thanks so much Sophie, and congrats on how well your channel is doing!!
Very insightful and valuable :)
Very usefuo video for me this moment. Thank you Vera!!!
I would be interested in which videos on RUclips you enjoy for yoga and meditation.
I absolutely LOVED this video, Vera. I am a high-school teacher doing distance learning
and it has taken all my strength and positivity to help my students stay positive and
happy these 4 months of school. Now I am somewhat depleted, after giving so much
of myself.
@@SimpleHappyZen Great! I already have Calm on my phone. Great minds think alike. Happy Holidays. 🎄
Thank you as always Vera. Self care tips really help! I needed this! Have a wonderful weekend!❤️
Thank you so much Lucy :) You have a lovely weekend too!
Thank you just what I was looking for Happy new yr.
Excellent video!! You helped me a lot! x
Thank you, Thank you, Thank, you x
PS yes to more meditation videos xx
So happy you're feeling better Samantha! Remember, these self care activities are always there for you, whenever you need them (or just feel like doing them haha)
Omg yes yoga with Adrienne! The standing half fold/full fold and slowing rising to mountain pose and the cat/cows have been a godsend for my back and neck now that i’m working remotely and sitting around all the time.
EXACTLY!! :) Soooooo nice
I love meditations, and would gladly listen to any that you wish to share.
Really found your ideas helpful and will try the breathing as a way to de-stress. Sometimes life gets in the way and we forget to take care of ourselves!
Happy you found it helpful, take care! :)
When I get in that stressing over being stressed cycle it takes a while for my body and mind to learn to relax again when I'm relaxing. Cleaning calms me and gives me a fresh perspective sometimes too. I already have my warm drink. 😊 Thanks for the reminders.
I love it, thank you and take care!! :)
Thank you Vera for this video ❤️
You're very welcome Gabi, take care!
Great video.. great tips.. Thank you and I will definitely try them.. yes a would love for you to do more videos on meditation
🙂💙🙏🦋
I love Native. Thank you for introducing them to me. Also, thamk you for your videos. I've really enjoyed them over the last few months.
I'm so happy to hear it!! :)
💙💙💙
I would love to see more meditation videos from you :) Your channel has changed my life, not even an exaggeration!
Heart of Kentucky. Hey Beautiful Vera. Thank you for your video. It was a real pick me up. Still praying for you and your mother. God Bless your day. Katie.
Thanks so much Katie for your sweet comment, and for all your support and encouragement this year again!
Great ideas! I love to exercise regularly on my mat or going for long walks. I also love to have my morning cup of coffee while watching a You Tube video. This routine keeps me relaxed. 👍
Sounds so lovely!! :)
That's such valuable insight, being able to recognize and acknowledge the symptoms, while focussing on the breath. 💕💕💕
Thanks for all the lovely tips.. just watching this video, calmed me so much.😊
Thanks so much for sharing, I love it, especially the bird watching, that's so relaxing :)
Hi Vera! I'm watching this video 11pm after a very stressful week. I'll definitely choose some activities and do them over the weekend 🧘🏼♀️
Take extra good care this weekend! You have my permission 😄
Well thought out. I loved the way one suggestion kind of flowed into the next and there is something for anybody in this list. I also appreciate your graciousness in including and thinking of those who may have different life/ spiritual views. Stay well!
A thank you 💕 This is exactly what I wanted to achieve with this video and how I thought out my list :)
Thanks Vera these are really good suggestions and ideas for relaxing.❤
Happy to hear it!! :) Thanks Cathy, have a wonderful end of the year! :)
Yay, so happy to hear it!!! :) I also love it so much
Such a beautiful day to see this chanel! thanks slot🙏🥰
Thanks so much :)
thank you so much for always making videos like these!! Keep it going!!!! LoveXx
Thanks so much! :)
Great tips big congrats on the new sponsor. This year has continually reminded me of letting things go.
Hope you are doing well
Thank you so much Bill for all the support this year! :) Have a happy weekend
Love the tips! Thanks for sharing this. 😍
Thank you Julie! :)
Thank you Vera! I think this video is so good, I may tip my clients to watch this video if I want to learn them stress-relieving techniques.
💕🌺💕
Great tips Vera.Thankyou..👍👍
Thank you Laya, have a wonderful day!
Thank you for sharing this great video. I would love to see more videos like this with meditation and some yoga videos. 👍❤️j
This video came up in the right time i am really so stressed and this was so helpful to me
Thank you so much for the positive vibes 💖
I'm happy to hear the video was helpful for you, take extra good care during these stressful times
I love taking good care of myself and appreciate your tips. A video about (guided) meditation is also very welcome. Love from the Netherlands.
Dankjewel Suna!! :) Feel free to check out my meditation playlist for now: ruclips.net/p/PLpDAC25h6PC-mZqi_Xd6ldISOzYdefy5O
I would love a meditation video. I had enjoyed your previous ones
