Thanks Lisa! I think it can be quite daunting if you’re not sure of the process, but hopefully this shows that’s it nothing to be scared of!

I have like art alcohol markers. COuld I use the basic alcohol to wet the paper, and the markers to apply the color? I imagine I'll need to brush the color onin one area for it to get saturated and spread out as it did with yours.

I think it would depend on the particular markers you have. With some of the higher end markers, possibly. But it’d probably be easier to just buy a few inks if you can.
Certainly with some of them you can blend them using isopropyl alcohol (that’s usually what the blender markers have in them I think). But I suspect you’ll end up with more of a precise area of colour rather than a colour wash or gradient effect. Which can equally be a nice effect to use, but probably not the technique you’re looking for!
I think the best bet would be to just give it a try on some scrap paper so you can do a few tests and see if you like the results. I’d try wetting the paper first that’s most likely to be the best technique. But also try marker first with then brushing the isopropyl over it to blend it out, put more at one end and then maybe do a few passes over it to break up any hard lines from the marker.
I hope that helps, let me know how you go on with it!
