Have you ever had the humiliating experience of building a model in Sketchup, then showing it to a contractor who laughed out loud when she saw that all of your dimensions ended in 1/16ths of an inch, or even worse, 1/32nds of an inch?? Of course there's never a reason to be any more precise than 1, or 2, or even 3" when you're in concept design, but Sketchup for iPad has to be taught that, and in this episode I'm going to show you how to set it up so your dimensions will always make sense and you'll never be embarrassed again.
So get out your iPad, download the free Sketchup files and assets I use in this series at the link in the description below, and get ready for Day 2: Dimensioning the "Right" Way in Sketchup for iPad
To go deeper and really master Sketchup for iPad, remember to check out the online courses I offer in the description below.
Don't forget, this episode is part of a playlist called the 12 Days of Sketchup for iPad-so you'll always be able to come back to the playlist and find the video you need.

ABOUT: My name is James Akers and I'm a practicing architect who also supported my family as a full-time renderer working in pencil and watercolor, up until the day that pencil and watercolor could no longer keep up with the pace of change in the modern digital office. So in 2015, I followed Tim Cook's lead, switched to Apple Pencil on iPad, and haven't looked back. Now, as UCLA professor of iPad Drawing and founder of the iPad for Architects RUclips channel, I split my time between teaching, rendering, design consulting, architect-ing, and my favorite of all: helping students rediscover the benefits of drawing-by-hand in the digital era through online courses in Sketchup for iPad, Morpholio Trace and Sketchup for iPad.
