ये सिर्फ एक चलचित्र नही बल्कि इसमें दर्शाया गया है कि वाकीय में सत्य को इतना परेशान किया जाता है की बाद में उसके पास कुछ खोने के लिए बचता ही नहीं है it is not a movie it's truth
काफी समय बाद समाज को वास्तविकता का आइना दिखता हुआ अत्यंत ही सटीक फिल्म देखा,गिने चुने शहरों (शहरों के विकसित भाग) को छोड़कर अभी भी हमारे देश की हालत यही है, "#जड़ों का देश" एकदम सटीक डायलोग है l पूरी भीड़ उसी तरह तमाशा देखती है जैसे, सोनू के लिए पानी मांगते वक्त देख रही थी l सत्ता अभी भी उन्ही हाथों में है,और इक्के दुक्के समर जैसे लोग इतने नसीब वाले भी नही होते की ऐसी अंत मिले, निपटा दिए जाते हैं पूरी तंत्र के द्वारा, बिना किसी उल्लेख के l दुनिया बदल रही है हमें बदलना होगा, हमें ऐसी फिल्में विद्यालयों में दिखानी चहिए ताकि समाज में बुनियादी स्तर से बदलाव आए, सकारात्मकता से सोचें तो यही उम्मीद पर जिया जा सकता है |

Manoj is a legend. If you remove all the big bucks marketing and lofty sets from the Khans' movies most of their works will turn pale in front of Manoj's work. Too much FX and jazzy backdrops. Manoj can do justice to a role without all that - no big sets and marketing reqd. A bred in the bone thespian!

Sayaji Shinde was a struggling actor and had tried multiple times for the role of Bachu yadav. Director felt that a Maharashtrian will not fit the role of a hardcore Bihari don/politician and refused to even meet him. Shinde then met the director dressed as a Bihari and spoke to him with a Bihari accent. The rest is history

Totally false info. Manoj Bajpayee in an interview said, he once saw Sayaji Shindes picture on a newspaper where he was doing some play. And after seeing his picture, Bajpayee wanted him to play the character. So he contacted him through a mutual friend of his from the marathi film industry and recommended him to Ram Gopal Varma, and after seeing him, Ram Gopal Verma decided that Sayaji Shinde is going to be Bacchu Yadav.

Special mention for Sayaji Shinde who played this eccentric villainous role with great conviction. Never seemed out of place however his Marathi accent was quite prominent but guess it added a different flavor to his dialogue delivery.
Manoj Bajpayee was natural by the Sajayi Shinde was the highlight performance. Not to forget Raveena Tandon too played an unconventional role quite convincingly.

The moments when Manoj Bajpai shouts out JAI HIND in the end literally gives me goosebumps. As a matter of fact the entire climax is epic and one of its kind. Such an intense, mind-boggling end to a great and legendary film. Such hard-hitting films urge you to make a positive change within yourself. Such is the greatness of Shool!. :-)

Although this movie is remembered for manoj vajpeyi but sayaji shinde was equally good and convincing in his character. Afterall there is no superhero without a great villan. How many agree ??
Watched my all time fav movie again and it still talks about so much of truth and how we should be working as a human. Kudos to this film and an amazing acting by Manoj Bajpayee. I don't understand why people have disliked it. :(

Everyone saying ... Manoj bajpayee did very well acting no one say single word about Raveena Tondon . In her a serious role she did tremendous job except all her non serious roles. She also looks very beautiful.
