hi, im a young stylist, im not defending any of others actions but i ask for my clients to come washed simply because im home based atm and dont have the comfortable facilities to wash their hair properly. I blow dry on the spot free of additional cost and if im providing the hair its usually $10-15 extra. My prices are generally less than $120 anyway because im just starting out. I didn’t realize the inconvenience was that detrimental to how a client perceives my service :(

    • @cindychristian1700

@@ninarenee560 I and many women thought the whole purpose of getting your done was to have the privilege of salon hair products! We are used to the shampoo, which feels great having someone else wash your hair, the conditioner is usually done under a high powered dryer and the blow drying process is usually done better by a professional! You say your price is less than $120! Wow that's still a lot especially if you go every two weeks! If I ever go back to the hairdresser I'm going to a beauty school because they have to do everything because they have to learn! I wish you the best in your career!

So true. Some people are just completely ignorant and insensitive to others. I’m so glad they have a well-rounded stylist like Pana because some of those comments from “stylists” were so incredibly rude and scary. They were very much giving, “if you don’t have the skills to do type 4 hair, just say that…” vibes! I like my clients to come to me how they see fit. I feel it is my job to simply DO HAIR. AND THAT IS WHAT I DO. I like to be able to take some time to comb through and familiarize myself with exactly what type of hair each client has. Then I will adjust my time differently for each client as each client is different and has different needs.

I am very disappointed with some of the black community. You literally shame this girl over her natural texture. This is why it took me years to remove my hatred towards black people . I was bullied so bad because I didn’t put perms in my hair and then I ended up listening to ignorant people and messed up my hair. I see the comments and it’s heartbreaking. You can’t talk about Black Lives Matter when you are critical and shame your own people. We must teach our young daughters that natural hair is beautiful no matter what type you have. Take care of your hair and start building up black little girls while they are young. We live in a world where European standards are taught to be only beautiful. We must erase that assumption! Stop with the self-hatred and embracing these white and non-black people.

Wtf I'm going to the shop for then, if I have to do all that before I come...you right Pana, I would never book a stylist like that! And you show love to a lot of stylist and give others opportunity by booking them for yourself! Keep it up you are amazing ❤️💖❤️💖❤️

Your Lives are hilarious. I love throwing them on while I'm cleaning etc. Keeps me entertained for hours.
Also, you are 100% correct in everything you said here. This new breed of Instagram stylist is judgy AF and out here making wild demands. Hair has to be basically half done before you even get in the chair, and they usually want it done in a way that's actually damaging. My favorite is when they demand that your hair has to be "freshly washed, blow-dried, and completely free of any oils, lotions or conditioners so the stylist can grip" and that they charge extra if they have to blow your hair out straighter before braiding. So.... what I'm hearing is that you want my hair to be dry, un-moisturized, and heat-treated to within an inch of its life when it's about to go into a long-term protective style? If your grip game is trash, just say so sis... I'll find another stylist or do my braids myself in a way that won't destroy my hair ✌🏾

They try to cover it up by saying “we’re too sensitive” or “we can’t take constructive criticism” but in literally they’re being an a**hole. They also project their unwanted opinion thinking they’re saying something but not realizing what works for them may not work for someone else.
