RCT. Smith is now Spc. Smith, US Army..won't get into why they dropped her although i will say it was an injury she couldn't control. Very proud of my little cousin.

That's good honestly I was really rooting for her because she seemed really positive and if I join the military I want to be how she described ut

That's awesome! I'm proud of her. I was rooting for her too, you could tell she really wanted it. I felt like she was being a little hard on herself at some points, but I'm glad she made it in the Army! Congratulations to you and your cousin

Was Dernisha Smith dropped or did she graduate? Is that the girl who got the bilateral stress fracture?

@@bigmcrunfast not necessarily. I know someone who has stress fractures in both legs and was there an extra 4 or so months but still made it

I’ve heard they give them an option to go home or stay and I’m pretty sure
She became unmotivated and went home.

Martha Perez they don’t really give you an option it all depends on what the injury or whatever it is, I was in STC which was the company you get put in for injury’s or when you get dropped and a lot of people with stress fractures and stuff stay till they are better and then get put back in training it’s why a lot of people will go to the mental health unit and make something up cause that’s a fast ticket off the Island, but if you get a major surgery they give you an option to leave when your better but stress fractures and stuff they don’t really let you leave

Seth Jones honestly that’s really good to hear that it’s not easy to leave cuz I’m thinking of joining and that’s one thing I’m scared off being dropped and sent home but that makes me feel so much better knowing they won’t give up on me and neither will I thank you :)

Martha Perez don’t get me wrong the drill instructors (atleast in the marines) will put you down and you will be made to feel awful and it’s very moral crushing many people will want to go home it’s a bad environment and will be in a way harder than boot camp alone, sitting there days and days not making progress and being stuck there it sucks and will be so hard. I went with my best friend and we were together in training and I got dropped to the company they told me I was most likely going home and made me wait there for 2 and then sent me home and they sure made me feel like a failure there I tried so hard for them to let me stay and wouldn’t let me so I got sent home and my friend went on and became a marine. If you join you will learn so many things you never thought you’ll have a whole new appreciation for your home and your family, do I wish it never happened to me? Yes, do I wish I was a Marine? Yes, but do I wish I never tried? No, it made me love my home, family, friends, and girlfriend more then I ever have and it made me feel a certain way, I knew what it felt like to hit rock bottom I put everything I had on this and I failed I’d never been so low and alone but I made it through and I came home with a work ethic I never ever wanted to fail ever again and I never will fail like that. If you join be proud and never give up it’ll be hard it’ll get you down you will feel a lone and scared and tired and sore and sick but you will never learn some of these things unless you go, even wanting to join earns my respect. No matter how hard it gets never give up keep fighting rmeebr who you doing it for and rmeebr your end goal, even if you get hurt or whatever happens and you end up there it’s gonna suck but your not alone you will get through it and get back to training and you will do it you will kill it and make everyone you love proud never give up and you got this.
