Beautiful recounting of this story, and the soothing mystical chimes are a nice touch.

Hello again Kris - I say 'again', because I revisit your channel for the last few days, after a longer break, (too many interests and possibilities, pulling me in too many different directions over the last few years - I'm trying to narrow them down a bit more now, according to my own three S rule: 'Slow down, simplify, specialise' - but it's easier said than done, so it's an ongoing process...) But as I'm trying to catch up on many older of your videos which are still new to me, I just want to say that I THOROUGHLY enjoy it here! I really apprieciate your deep knowledge, your genuine joy and infectuous enthusiasm and the obvious LOVE that you have for all those Celtic themes that brought me here in the first place...
Actually, I like to think that Manannán Mac Lir brought me here before, (to the video about how His day is celebrated on the Isle of Man at Midsummer) and there is good a chance that He brought me here again - just as I started to think and to FEEL that I want to dive deeper (yet again) into all things Celtic and into His lore specifically, your last video about 'Manannán and Beyond' course 'magically' appeared in my RUclips recommendations :) I do hope that you will offer that course more than once, because although I can't afford it right now (long story about some recent necessary expenses and searching for a new job), I would be highly interested in it sometime in the future... I really loved the mysteriously enchanting and playfully tongue-in-cheek style of that short video - how very appropriate! ;)
And as for this video right here - I join the chorus of other comments to say that you have a true GIFT of storytelling, the story of Rhiannon in itself is just lovely, with the deeply satisfying happy ending after all the sadness, misunderstandings, twists and turns and losses, and the addition of music and pictures that you chose was beaufitully atmospheric... And I simply LOVE your accent! :) I have a thing for languages, accents and different kind of voices in general, and you really use yours masterfully - it's such a treat to your listeners!
I'll definitely check out more of your videos, one by one, until I've seen them all!
Springtime greetings all the way from Poland :)

Thank you so much for this lovely message! As you may know, I'm all about depth. I like to drill deep into topics rather than spread myself too thin, so I hope you manage to make your three s's work for you. I think it will be very rewarding. I can't say for sure whether I will offer the Manannán class again, but I may have a scholarship available for the one that's starting soon. You might want to head over to my website and subscribe to the newsletter. If a patron doesn't grab the scholarship by Wednesday, I'll open it up to everybody.

What a beautiful telling! I love the shifting graphics, they really evoke a sense of the liminal.

Wonderfull tale, subscribed to hear more of your story telling. Wonder if the Ladies were punished for their horrific lie.

According to the story, Rhiannon did not want them to be punished. She understood that they were afraid, and offered to protect them.
